I'm just posting a quick reminder that there's no obligation to keep the hatchlings (or mates) you get.
As we already saw in this thread, hatchlings don't always turn out the way the gifter intended and even if they have first pick, they don't have to keep the dragon.
To give a hatchling to the gifter just feels more like a "fair trade" and since lair space is expensive, we won't be able to keep every single dragon that's gifted here.
If you absolutely don't want to see one of your hatchlings exalted, exclude him/her from the first-pick option.
I'm sure most of you know all of this, but I felt like writing it down after it was mentioned that a founder wouldn't be considered interesting without genes (even if that one got changed and isn't relevant anymore xD).
