Here, I will record my progress for all the user-made challenges that I am attempting, as well as any personal goals I've set for myself. Links will be provided to all the necessary threads, so simply follow the table of contents if you wish to find something in particular. I'm a very stubborn person, so once a challenge or quest is up here I will likely stick with it no matter the difficulty until I've deemed it complete. The only challenges likely to come down are personal ones, as I might change my mind about breeding projects or gene makeups. Or I get extremely bored with one, as that tends to happen, too. So strap yourselves in for the long haul, because it only gets worse from here! Also, please do not post here. I understand that sometimes you want to offer encouragement to those doing such challenges, or ask questions about fonts and pictures used in the thread. Start in any venue! Once you start though, you're locked in one area until you finish the challenge and then move on to the next area. You can jump around to wherever you want as you farm! 2. The very first battle you have, and the very first drop you have, that's the item you have to collect until you have a stack of 99! Other notable drops are eggs, battle stones, apparel, anything unusual! However you're locked into that venue until you get a stack of 99 of whatever item you're after. 3. You can totally take a break, come back later, but you're not allowed to coli farm anywhere else but that venue until your task is completed. To determine what your drop is, it's the very first thing that drops from the very first battle. The only thing you cannot do is replace her with any other dragoness after the challenge begins. [/LIST] 2. Select the first mate for your matriarch. You may retrieve him over the Auction House, borrow a stud, or pick a permanent resident of your clan -- literally the only requirement for him is that he's biologically male and thus can produce offspring with her. [LIST] [*]Note how this step says "first" mate. This is because [b]your matriarch cannot breed with the same dragon twice across the duration of this challenge.[/b] [/LIST] 3. Breed them once they're both RTB and you have sufficient space! Make a note of how many children they've had and keep it. Maintaining count is key. I'd also recommend making a note of who the mate was, so that you never accidentally "double-dip." 4. When the hatchlings are born, you cannot just immediately exalt them or sell them over the Auction House. On the contrary, [b]you must ensure every hatchling gets a long-term home.[/b] This could be anything from becoming someone else's permanent dragon to being bred at least once in someone else's lair. Either way, they need to be kept by someone for a while before being exalted or exalt-trained, if ever. If you want, you may keep any hatchlings you get as long-term residents of your own clan. [LIST] [*]If you end up selling someone a hatchling and they change their mind and either resell or exalt it, then you are not held accountable for it; after all, the matter at that point would have been out of your hands. However, it might be wise to not sell that person another hatchling for the duration of the challenge.[/LIST] 5. Repeat the process from finding a new mate to sending the hatchlings off to find long-term homes until all 100+ hatchlings have found a place they belong! [/quote] However, due to space limitations, my own impatience, and lore purposes, I will be making a few adjustments to these rules. Below you will find my personal variations that I will be using until I complete this challenge: [quote=Personal Variations] 1) All of her offspring will be exalted unless they are purchased, in keeping with her lore. However, they may not be exalted by me personally until they reach level 10. 2) All offspring will be listed on the AH no matter their level at above-fodder prices for seven days before being trained and exalted. I will do my best to spread their availability via other methods as well in order to ensure at least some a good home. 3) All of her mates will first be offered to other individuals attempting this challenge before being sold or exalted. They are not subject to the above two rules and thus can be exalted at any point. 4) Lore must be written for each clutch, in order to make this challenge more interesting to follow for you and more engaging for me. Having to write something for each pairing should help me feel less inclined to ditch the challenge half-way through, and keep you all reading and following along! Plus it suits her lore in general to write lore for it all...so there's that. 5) Have fun! If any any point I feel like stopping this challenge, I will update this post to inform everyone of my decision. The one thing I recommend without a doubt is that she'd be a dragon you'd permanently keep, because you're going to have her in your hands for quite some time. [LIST] [*]If you find that you're tiring of your matriarch's look, feel free to scatterscroll her, breed change her, or alter her genes as much as you'd like. The only thing you cannot do is replace her with any other dragoness after the challenge begins. [/LIST] 2. Select the first mate for your matriarch. You may retrieve him over the Auction House, borrow a stud, or pick a permanent resident of your clan -- literally the only requirement for him is that he's biologically male and thus can produce offspring with her. [LIST] [*]Note how this step says "first" mate. This is because [b]your matriarch cannot breed with the same dragon twice across the duration of this challenge.[/b] [/LIST] 3. Breed them once they're both RTB and you have sufficient space! Make a note of how many children they've had and keep it. Maintaining count is key. I'd also recommend making a note of who the mate was, so that you never accidentally "double-dip." 4. When the hatchlings are born, you cannot just immediately exalt them or sell them over the Auction House. On the contrary, [b]you must ensure every hatchling gets a long-term home.[/b] This could be anything from becoming someone else's permanent dragon to being bred at least once in someone else's lair. Either way, they need to be kept by someone for a while before being exalted or exalt-trained, if ever. If you want, you may keep any hatchlings you get as long-term residents of your own clan.
