@ArouraBorialice @shepardess @Luciferr @pensandink Today is the day that fate will decide who should carry on the legacy. The following images are taken from the Scrying Workshop so that no one could see the victor wearing their new apparel, should you arrive once they have donned the look of the sixth generation. There were a surprising number of Coral Carpenters around today -- perhaps in celebration of the Wavecrest Saturnalia. Unfortunately, many of the enemies there also had a penchant for dodging; landing blows was a frustrating task for all of today's potential heroes. Fallen first was Raphael, the male Tundra, who was the victim of an early crit that ultimately ended his life too soon. This eliminated the option I had the least interest in as the carrier of this legacy, although it was sad (as it always is for me) to see a good Tundra faint. Forced to carry on, his brother and sister fought as valiantly as they could. This time, it was their turns to dodge like they were the lead stars of The Matrix. Things got extra tense when both of them were knocked down to mere slivers of health -- something as of yet unheard of in the tension of these generations! -- but ultimately, with a decisive scratch from a Sparrowmouse, Noel collapsed, gray and lifeless in the dust. Gabriel the Pearlcatcher is the heir to the next generation! Finding a mate for Gabriel was, at first, a bit of a slog. Seeking a dragon that met all of my specifications (one potential upgrade per slot) was kind of annoying as most of them possessed Crackle -- a gene I feel only works in select circumstances -- or Smoke -- a gene I almost exclusively despise. However, I praise the mighty RNG lords that my spending cap was upped to 60kt, because at that exact amount I found this triple-Orca beauty! The possibility of Orca (maybe even a double or a triple) has been reintroduced. Falcon and Peregrine are my favorite pair of treasure genes. And Lace! Finally, something other than Okapi I can pray will pass on as the tert. Lace is my favorite tertiary in the uncommon breeding range and I can't say how happy I am to know it has a good chance of passing on! (And yes, I checked their compatibility. 60kt isn't exactly a pittance to spend on a dragon.) They'll be ready to breed in 15 days! I'm so excited. :D

Today is the day that fate will decide who should carry on the legacy. The following images are taken from the Scrying Workshop so that no one could see the victor wearing their new apparel, should you arrive once they have donned the look of the sixth generation.

Will it be Gabriel, he who received no gene upgrades but a breed upgrade?

Will it be Raphael, he who received the gene upgrade to Stripes?

Ooh, I think I saw this thread a while ago and lost it, but-! Now that I have money and lair space to spare, I think I'd like to try this challenge for myself! I searched the AH for RTB triple basic plentifuls, because I'm lazy like that. Here they are: Philomena for 8kt, and Chartreux for 10kt. EDIT: Aaargh I read the rules wrong and got 2 triple basics instead of just one :'D Uhh, this is fine! I can fix this. Hopefully. Both of my nests have hatched, and surprisingly, 7/8 of the hatchlings are male. I won't put them all here, since 8 dragons takes up quite a bit of space, but I will say that Fable and Ysoria have disappointed me by only having 2 hatchlings out of 5 get breed/gene upgrades. For shame. I'm rooting for Piet, since he has a breed and gene upgrade, but I'm also side-eyeing that mulberry tert. As for Chartruex/Philomena, I have no preference since I knew the hatchlings would be all basic. they do, however, have a more workable palette than Fable/Ysoria's. Now I have to wait for them to grow up, and in the meantime, calculate my available lair space.

I totally forgot to post when my last nest was born, but it's time for them to battle it out now. Allrighty, my next generation hatched today. I will admit, my lore ran out quicker than I expected... Possibbly I will find time to rewrite some passages, and then get to continue the storie - but at this point, I´m simply stuck. But don´t mind that now, I´m here to introduce my hopefull new hatchlings! [Pictures from the Scrying Workshop, quite a clever trick copied from Dreamnorn...) The firstborn girl, Haela, gives mme hope with springtime colors and a secondarie gene! She´s coral / honeydew / amber for those interested. She´s cherry / sunset / tangerine, thus being more a summer dragon =D The thirdborn girl, Xaress, is still triple basic. [s]I don't need another breeding challenge[/s] Hello! I decided to do this! Honestly before I finished reading the thread I already bought my dragons. My founder, Oya. Here's the lore I wrote for her:
Fierce and ruthless, Oya solely believes in 'survival of the fittest'. Seeing all the fine warriors around her made her jealous, but also gave her hope for her future lineage. Coming up with some grand scheme that her hatchlings, and their hatchlings, should fight for their right to continue Oya's legacy she set out to find a chosen mate. Her mate, and her future hatchlings, had no choice but to join in with Oya's madness. Will the legacy be succesful? Only time will tell...
And her mate, Hakkan, who I've chosen because of two reasons. 1. His lovely Underbelly is hypnotizing me. 2. I gave myself this extra rule that the primary color of the mate must be in range of 5 above and 5 below the heir's color. Because why wouldn't I make this hard for myself? Here's his lore:
Hakkan was the only possible suitor Oya had seeked out that actually agreed with her lineage plans. While he might not have the same beliefs as her, he does like a good 'game of chance'. Of course, gambling with your offspring is not quite legal, but worse things have happened in Sornieth. Right? Right.
I'll be back when hatchlings happen or anything. They can breed in 14 days.

Hello! I decided to do this! Honestly before I finished reading the thread I already bought my dragons.

My founder, Oya. Here's the lore I wrote for her:
Quote:

Coming up with some grand scheme that her hatchlings, and their hatchlings, should fight for their right to continue Oya's legacy she set out to find a chosen mate. 1. His lovely Underbelly is hypnotizing me.
2. I gave myself this extra rule that the primary color of the mate must be in range of 5 above and 5 below the heir's color. Because why wouldn't I make this hard for myself?

Here's his lore:
