I hatched my third generation, with five new colors. Okay, so I guess I'm doing this challenge as well. Thanks @Dreamnorn for filling up all of my good lair real estate with new challenge dragons lol. You make such fun challenges though! I have a cap of 15kt, I'll only be counting the colours from heirs and chosen mates as completed, and adding my own rule that all dragons used for the challenge must have Glimmer because it's my favourite gene and I want to. I haven't had a five egg nest in months and of course a challenge nest is the one that gave it to me. I'm already regretting only using colours from my chosen heirs...

I love the idea of passing a specific gene down the entire time! That makes it feel like there's one big connection throughout this big and colorful family. I'm honestly sort of sad I didn't think of that for my own RR challenge. :'D Oh, well. Would you mind if I add that as an optional rule idea in the main post, though? I honestly like it so much that I want to promote it.

Nice luck on the 5-egg nest, though! I'm sorry they won't be counted (though you can technically change your mind up until the nest actually hatches), but on the bright side, that means more options on who your heir gets to be! That might be nice since the primary range will be so broad. ^^ I hope that the hatchlings turn out beautiful!

Okay, I got curious and did some math. The best case scenario is 11 generations and the worst case scenario is 58 generations. This challenge is insane and I love it. :D

Okay their nest hatched and I got some really great hatchlings! I'm actually going with my second favourite of the bunch, because my favourite has all repeating colours. That knocks off six more colours, with a total of 24 colours down.
