May have to replace Cliffstinger and Thicket - their chance of producing good offspring is too low. However, I can just keep adding more pairs in generation 0 until enough good generation 1 dragons are produced... Ideally. Will revisit when I run out of space. -Holding off on lair expansions until the Ice festival for those sweet, sweet discounts. Hopefully I can get my commission done and paid for before it ends. I thought Fletcher might be the oldest dragon here after seeing her ID starts with 7, but that's actually Elecc, who's ID starts with 4 and is 3 years old. Also, Euryl has a Vivid XYZ Rejects badge! Neat. -After comparison in the spreadsheet, Kree is actually a much better candidate. He only has one bad colour - the other two are one off! However, I forgot to check Euryl's primary was of the right rarity... He has a DoggoNoWanno badge! 21/01/23 -Made an adjustment to the RNIP IDs so I can sort them in my spreadsheet easier. 22/01/23 -Natalic lent me their dragon! With their permission I named him Gefulfr. Thank you Natalic! -Crystalline Gala started, and I've expanded my lair. At 65, it's technically just big enough for one RNIP generation (64), but not enough to breed for the next generation let alone the other dragons I want to keep. But I've got a week off uni, so I'll have plenty of time to finish that commission and cash it in before the gala ends! -Started re-arranging the pairs to account for new additions. I may need to get more picky about colours since most of the secondaries are clockwise. 24/01/23 -Bought Liza and Ichiko from the AH and named them. -Winterhold and Komairos's babies hatched! Swapped Igo for Starburst. 02/02/23 -Bought and named Nettle and Elodea from the AH. After some rearrangement, realised some pairs were able to nest and immediately did. 15/02/23 -It's been a while! Uni's knocking me out, so updates are gonna be sporadic for the forseeable future. Alethkar + Iharaira, Starburst + Elecc, and Vykos + Idurre's nests hatched. 28/02/23 -Uni's still kicking my ass. Generation 1 is going quite well, especially after I realised I didn't need to be so strict with the traits this early on. However, many of the generation 1 are going to need to be kept around to breed again because they didn't produce two children of different genders. I'll also keep around parents who could likely produce better children as long as I have the space, but children who are worse than their siblings of the same gender are getting exalted immediately so I don't have time to get attached. -The dragons section is way out of date at this point. I'm keeping track of all the IDs of the parents, so even if they get exalted I'll be able to fix it up later. Ignore it for now though. 31/03/23 -Still chugging along! I've reduced the scope of this project to 32-per-generation, which means it'll be limited to 5 generations, but I don't really need infinite generations to test out the notation. On that note, generation 1 is almost complete and only needs two more dragons. All of this is my JAM! I've got multiple dragons that do this! Even the founder, Vidal, has a version of this in his mushroom infestation. That I already have a [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/69410203]Light dragon[/url] fighting against Shadow magic does not detract from my love of this dragon! (Though that does mean I should get a dragon that does the reverse. :3) In fact, I think I can pull some interesting parallels between Vidal and Esmund. Ex: Esmund having a smaller and more orderly corruption tert means he's more in control than Vidal. Or at least that Vidal LETS it go wild if not actively encouraging growth to survive in Plague fashion. (Of course, I'll need to actually REWRITE Vidal's lore instead of just planning to...) [rule] Challenge Notes: Interestingly enough, I was close to passing all three dragons in the last nest. I've even made up outfits for them! But I was never happy enough with matching their tert that I ultimately decided against it. I did like Orange's outfit enough to get another dragon for it, though. The only other dragon I tried to make an outfit for was Waterweaver! That time it was the secondary that felt ignored. (The founder's secondary was also ignored, just darkened up with morph, but the winner was supposed to be better than that, so she ultimately failed.) This challenge was fun and interesting! Will probably do another one, with harsher conditions. Founder dragon being a dragon I wouldn't want in my lair, no Fade/Blend, maybe a breed and/or gene lock. However, since this has prompted me to get at least TWO MORE dragons, I'll hold off on that for now. (At least he was easy to outfit. I already had all the pieces except for the Butterfly Necklace.)
