I feel there are a few different ways this can go!
First is that this will be another dig ancient, assuming the ancient is a fallen shooting star, potentially like a fallen meteor, hits the ground and the Dragonhome Preservation Guild gets involved since this could require some digging!
This is highly unlikely though given that our last ancient was also a dig ancient, so doing two in a row wouldn't make sense, but we could still potentially get a new dig site in tandem since new items can result from a meteor hitting the ground!
Kinda off-shooting from that, what if the Arcanist banished his ancients to be stars or meteors that circle the planet that Sornieth is/is on, and since they were there before modern dragons since moderns came after ancients, then astrologists never picked up on the fact that they were ancients since they were always there for all the time that moderns existed?
Another potential thing is that the ancients will fall into the water, and since they need to be found there, we might also receive another clue on Tidelord's disappearance because of the sudden presence of arcane energy from the ancients could lead to something being revealed from the formerly unprecedented energy levels.
Or, maybe the fallen ancients will be the eggs or children of the ancients that are still banished as stars/meteors floating in space, and were sent by their parents because the shade is attacking them (assuming the shade isn't space itself, but rather a presence there) as a last resort to save them
I'm just having lots of fun speculating on what's happening!
