TOPIC | Is there official artwork of The Shade?
i think the ones in the various Encyclopedia entries of the ages is all we have, as it hasn't been present for anything(for the moment) other than how it's sank into the earth and seemingly just kind of exists in the way of driving things mad ambiently since then.

Somewhere I remember reading that the enemies you fight in the Coli are either possessed "shade-touched" familiars, with a (I think headcanon?) that some are like shadowy shade mimic clones. So you could interpret that as the shade could be visually anything, in theory.

Also: not official, but I remember someone making a very cool “what if the Shade was a Flight” thread. If you go into the Phoatlshop 2.0 thread, it should be on the signature of the first poster, as a clickable black banner. (That’s how I found it, anyway)

yeah, a lot of the Shade stuff around in the forums is a bunch of headcanon/fancanon rather than official. i don't think there's been any indication of the thing being anything other than this mindless force of devouring nothingness attracted to eat magic.
