My friend Wynterr joined, and was able to pick a flight but never got the option to get a custom starter dragon. Anybody know why?

My friend Wynterr joined, and was able to pick a flight but never got the option to get a custom starter dragon. Anybody know why?
@MoonlightFae they do have two progenitor dragons as intended, which means that they have both custom and random progen. its possible that they somehow clicked through the customization process without actually customizin the dragon by mistake.
