The Auction House has received a complete revamp! Among new features are: a significant expansion to search parameters, the ability to list auctions for just your Flight or privately to a single player, plus quick and easy ways to collect all your profits and relist expired auctions.
The day is finally here, and the Auction House revamp is now live and ready to use!
Should you encounter any issues or bugs, please immediately let us know in our stickied Bug Reports thread and we'll look into it. (NOTE: To best address any issues, be sure to include all the information asked for in the top post of that thread.)
Before we begin...
Most of the information below may look familiar to many of you, as it was also in our Auction House Revamp Preview last month.
We're happy to say that in addition to the features listed below, we took some community feedback in mind and were also able to add Coliseum Level as a search parameter to Dragon auctions, and made some significant changes to the alerts system to help make it very easy to get to the proper page or section of the Auction House that needs your attention.
The Main Hub
The biggest change that you'll notice upon visiting the Auction House will be that it has a central hub with three large buttons. Mousing over each will give you a bit of information. For simplicity's sake, we'll also include that information here:
Flight-Only Auctions: Buy or list auctions within your own Flight. These auctions will only be available to those who share the same elemental alignment as you.
Realm-Wide Auctions: Buy or list auctions for the entire realm of Sornieth. These auctions will be available to all players.
Private Auctions: Buy private auctions that were listed for you, or choose to list a private auction for another player. Private auctions are only available to the specified buyer and seller.
In addition to the large hub buttons, you'll also notice that we've retained the Buy | Sell | Activity buttons that you're used to. Though there are many changes happening to the Auction House, we opted to keep the layout similar for this area so as not to disrupt some of the flow and muscle memory you've developed!
You may ask: how will I navigate between the various houses without going back to the hub?
To make transitioning as easy as possible, we've added drop-down menus to both the Buy and Sell button.
Buying Auctions
When you visit an Auction House, the most noticeable difference is going to be the layout. Each time we revamp a feature, we try our best to improve the look and feel as much as possible without sacrificing the functionality you're accustomed to.
In this case, we wanted to "break free" from the box-within-box-within-box design of the old system so that everything had a much roomier feel. The search parameters have been moved to an expandable/collapsible container at the top of the page. Once you've input your parameters, it'll close up to allow you more room to view the results, but you can always pop it back open again!
As for searching itself, we have made several expansions and changes where possible. In addition to these changes, we have made it possible to "multi-select" many parameters (where applicable). With the power of multi-selection, you can get an even more refined search!
(Example: When looking for food listings, you could narrow it down to just Insects and Meat only!)
Taking into account as many player suggestions as possible, these are the new search parameters! We've marked each parameter that has multi-select capability.

So, pretty awesome, right? Here's a screenshot to show it in action:
In addition to our much more robust searching system, there are a few other great changes that we feel will make your browsing experience a lot more pleasant.
Firstly, you'll be able to view up to 50 auction listings per page! If you're weary of clicking through multiple pages, this should help.
With more auctions per page, we thought it would also be useful to start organizing them a little better. To that end, we're adding more sorting options.
But that's not all! If you're in the market for a stack of items, but you don't want to do the math in your head to figure out if you're getting a good deal per unit, we've got you covered! Mousing over a listing's price will also give you the breakdown of the price per unit in the stack. If you look at the screenshot above this paragraph, you'll also see that we'll let you sort by unit price, too!
As far as dragon listings are concerned, we've tried to make as much information about the dragon visible as possible, including things like their name, ID number, element, sex, breeding status, and current energy level, in addition to the information in their mouseover tooltip:
Selling Auctions
Not much is changing on the selling front, aside from us tidying up the interface. However, you'll notice that when you are creating a listing, you'll have the choice of which auction house you want the listing to appear in.
If the auction is private, it will ask you to input your buyer's player name:
Private auctions always last for 7 days and do not deduct a fee from your profits.
Activity Ledger
Perhaps one of the largest changes is how you manage your auctions. We have consolidated all of these tools into what we call the Activity Ledger, and it will facilitate your profit collection, expired auctions, current listings, and recent shopping history.
Profits & Sold Auctions
The big one. With the revamp, we have completely divorced the Auction House from the private messages system. You will no longer receive any messages from the auction house when auctions are successfully sold or if they expire. You won't receive private messages at all.
The Profits page shows you a cumulative total of your recent successful sales and allow you to collect them all as one lump sum. Awesome!
Below the collections area, you'll see a complete readout of your sales, and mousing over each listing's price will allow you to see how much net currency you earned after fees.
Expired Auctions
When your auctions expire, they will be listed on the Expired page of the Activity Ledger. For performance reasons, we will only be able to show you the last 14 days' worth of listings, but we feel this will give you a good chunk of items to interact with.
From this page, you have the option of clearing them out or relisting them, if you wish. A large button at the top allows you to blow away all of your expired auctions, while a smaller button sits beside each listing if you would like to be more selective.
Relisting is easy! Clicking the Relist button will bring up a window that displays the parameters that you originally chose. If you want to try your luck again, you can quickly relist the auction with one click using identical details. If you want to make some changes, you can do that, too.
Current Listings & Recent History
Not a whole lot is changing from the current version of the Auction House on these two pages. The Current Listings page will allow you to manage all of your auctions that have already been posted, and your Recent History page will allow you to view receipts of all your recent sales or purchases, with multiple ways to sort! As with the Expired page, this will show your last two weeks' worth of activity.
Alerts
To round everything out, we're doing something a little different with auction-related alerts. Say that you put up some auctions before going to bed, and you come back a few days later to see how everything did.
You'll be met with only two alerts total. These alerts will collate all of the recent auction activity that occurred between your visits to the site: one for sold and expired auctions, and one for private auctions. Due to changes on the backend to our alerts system, Auction House-related alerts will always be pinned to the top of the alert window. This allows you to, at a glance, see just how successfully or unsuccessfully your listings performed!
Additional Updates
- The alerts system has received a facelift. Alerts now feature context icon artwork, more humanized timestamps, and alerts that are brand new since the last time you opened the dropdown will have a slight highlight to emphasize them.
