"When the cold wind is a-calling
And the sky is clear and bright
Misty mountains sing and beckon
Lead me out into the light
I will ride, I will fly
Chase the wind and touch the sky
I will fly
Chase the wind and touch the sky
Where dark woods hide secrets
And mountains are fierce and bold
Deep waters hold reflections
Of times lost long ago
I will hear their every story
Take hold of my own dream
Be as strong as the seas are stormy
And proud as an eagle's scream
I will ride, I will fly
Chase the wind and touch the sky
I will fly
Chase the wind and touch the sky
And touch the sky
Chase the wind
Chase the wind
Touch the sky"
-Touch the Sky by Julie Fowlis from Disney's Brave
I love this song, I can imagine a Wind dragon singing it, delighting in all the places they've travelled to. Maybe they'd be the original owner of this: [item= Song of the Western Wind]

The Wind Element in Tibetan Buddhism (really speaking to me now in a challenging time).
"The Wind Element represents the "Moving" and "Changing" energy of the Karma Family in our existence. Our tendency to Act, Create, and Change is our expression of the Wind element. From this point of view, even thinking and feeling are considered action, because they involve a movement from the position of stillness. To meditate on the wind element, one could meditate outside in a place where there was occasional wind or watch the movement of a candle flame. We could also use a rotating fan to give the same environment. "

The Great Unknown by Redberry
Stuck inside these walls
But I just can't find them all
What I'd giv to just be out there
One and for all...
I know that if I ran away
There could be a price to pay
I guess it's best if I just
Choose to stay
But sometimes I can't help but think about the times I'm missing
What is out there and just where could I roam
Curiosity killed the cat but I'm still worth the inning
So now, it's time to just give in
It's time to just let go
What I'd give to be out there
In the great unknown
Running out of breath
As the wind from the mountain blows
What I'd give to just see the world
From above the cloves
Maybe one day I'll get out of the garden
And explore the great unknown
But then the feeling starts to come back
I should just stick to the same old tracks
That have been laid down for me
I know that this place is my home
But it's not easy all alone
Still, it's safer to just not
Fight your purpose
"Delilah, stay"
Is what I know he'll say
And who am I to go against his ways?
Looking around and realizing that it's the same old day
Over and over again
It seems that nothing ever changes
Inside I feel so trapped
Like I'm lost and I can't come back
But I know that one day you will
See me out there
If it takes a hundred years
I know that I can leave the fears
Of what you say
I don't care what you'll say
What I'd give to be out there
In the great unknown
Running out of breath
As the wind from the mountain blows
What I'd give to just see the world
From above the cloves
I know that one day I'll get out of the garden

I know that one day I'll get out of the garden
And explore the great unknown!

My grandma had a poster of this from her days as a teacher.

"There are no impossible things, only things the doings of which have not yet been learned"
it's from a book called The Dragon and the George I read after discovering it had some plot inspiration for the cartoon Flight of Dragons and really liked it... seems all the more relevant on this site considering its origin!
Also here's my wind lady Hanalei, who I am very fond of:

Edit: Man, really enjoying everyone else's contributions, what a peaceful uplifting bunch of thoughts

Have you ever just opened an umbrella on a windy day and wished you could fly away like Mary Poppins? I have, until I realized that if my grip slipped, I would fall. Also there is no way to stop flying until the wind stops. It would still feel great while I was in the air though.
