A’ight, I wanna nudge the rebel plot along a bit, so if Echo doesn’t do anything in the events I’ll roll for him to approach a random dragon. Doesn’t mean it’ll work, could even spark a fight, but he’ll try.

Oh holy crap. And guess who’s lucky—!
That’s right, it’s our good secret-rebel pal Echo! He figures he might have better luck getting dragons on his side if he has something to show for it, something like a bountiful campsite. While he doesn’t expect to make lifelong friends here, he can work with “the enemy of my enemy is my rebel-ally.” The question, though, is whom....
He {does/doesn’t} approach another dragon once camp’s set up, and it’s none other than…
…{Ramaz}, who’s on edge the second he sees Echo approach. What, here to bully him? His sister poisoned herself with berries last night, what else do you want?! And here Echo sees an opportunity: he’ll offer his shelter, some supplies, to the duo, if and only if they promise not to attack.
Ramaz is uncertain. Sounds like he’s being condescended to. But he’s not gonna lash out, his track record’s horrific. “Attack while we’re with you, or for the rest of the game?”
“Well, you know what I’d prefer.” {roll: conditional/indefinite} “But it’s not too much to ask for peace while I give you sanctuary, no?”
Ramaz considers this for a moment. He frowns, lashes his tail. He doesn’t like this. Echo’s 1v2; once Chaplin’s well, they could overpower him, there’s got to be a catch. But right now, Chaplin’s in no state to fight; she went downhill fast.
“…Fine,” Ramaz snips. “But only until you cure her. And you will do that.” There’s an unspoken question at the end, but he doesn’t quite let it slip. (It can’t be up for questioning. It… just can’t.)
Echo dips his head.

We will leave them on that cliffhanger; roll for spread & actual curing, in that order, later >:3c For now, though!
Seems Echo’s not the only one with the idea. —Except then RNG chose Ramaz as camper, so uh, I guess he settled in fast despite suspicion? Poor dude can’t catch a break, so.
Ramaz’s extra stores are {for Echo/stolen from Echo}—or, well, as much as he can get away with “stealing” when they’re in the same shelter anyway. Mostly he just plans to take a biit extra for himself on the way out.
Echo notices (it’s hard not to) but says nothing. For now.
Holyknight continues to die a slow and painful death alone; 3 lives left.
Meanwhile, Chaplin spread: by some miracle Echo is once again immune, but Ramaz is less fortunate. It’s unnoticed for now, though; instead, the lads focus on trying to heal Ramaz, and I’m going to make this more difficult than the coinflip that was Mitzi’s because Chaplin has way fewer days left (or well okay double-checking not really, but it’s been written more severe so w/e):
- First roll to see if the cure does anything at all; and if so,
- It pushes the disease into recession, cures it entirely, or just gives her an extra day.
Luckily for Chaplin, it’s effective—just short of a full cure (she’s back to being a Carrier), but enough to let her sleep soundly as dawn breaks.
Ramaz is relieved. {He returns the spoils/He doesn’t return a thing}, however; maybe he’ll have a change of heart yet, but for now, he’s got to see if she’s better by morning. It could still be placebo. (It’s not, the rolls just confirmed, but he wouldn’t know that.)
Echo hopes Chaplin will be more, er, reasonable. But for now, he’s wiped. They all are.
