I understand the "spirit of the game", but I think some of the anti-exalt language should be adjusted to discourage exalting, rather than command other users on how to play the game ("please don't exalt!" which is a command according to site's own rules). Even Spooner wrote in the original thread that nobody is obliged to refrain from selling and exalting dragons (or even wiping the bio) received in the thread itself.
I would change the answer to discourage users to track down who exalted/sold a traveler and approach that user about it. I do not see the point in even gently confronting someone who exalted/sold off a dragon that they, more than likely, picked up at a random nontraveler swap thread or bought for cheap off the AH. Even if the message isn't harsh, I feel like those types of messages are what staff is trying to prevent: someone telling someone else what they "should" do with their own dragon.
Bottom line: once a dragon leaves your possession, it's not yours anymore. Only send a dragon out traveling if you're okay with it being renamed, bred, sold, exalted, or breed/gene changed. Staff isn't on your side if you get upset that "your" traveler is being treated in a way that you don't like.
