Howdy, everyone! This announcement is to warn you about the approaching seasonal changes. March 20 will be the last day that the Winter Court reigns. On March 21 the Spring Court will come into power!
That means March 20 is the last day official Winter Court descendants (those capable of being registered) may be born.
Anyone may of course do what they please with their own dragons, but for the sake of lore, hatchlings born out of their respective season can't be shared or registered here. Winter Court descendants already born December 21 through March 20 may still be shared and registered throughout the year.
Thank you all so much for your continued interest and participation in the Seasonal Courts! I hope you enjoy these last snow days before the spring blossoms come in~ We'll be celebrating the seasonal changes with a poetry and prose contest starting on the 20th, further announcements to come.

Lore: Thoroughly self-absorbed, Bijou takes great delight in fashion, jewelry, and every other aspect of beauty, and has come up with more than one ingenious tincture, serum, and dye to adjust his own appearance. The appearances of others? Why would he share? Then they might rival him.
He can sometimes be prevailed on to share a few tips with a close confidant, and he does enjoy the adulation he receives when his methods show results. He's considering the merits of sharing more. Perhaps of selling a few of his lesser creations to mundane dragons, when he visits their world - they're so unkempt, after all, and they might be less unsightly with his help.
Needless to say, he makes his home in the Spring Court, and while he sometimes enjoys visiting the mundane world to amuse himself and dazzle those shabby mortal dragons, he never stays for long.

Her rocky, stone-like scales are one of the very few similarities she shares with her mother. Born with only minimal magical abilities, Persephone had to seek out her own calling from a young age. Finding joy in the most unlikely of things, she slowly taught herself the little joys of the wonderful world around her.
Unlike her mother, who preached that the world is to be investigated beyond the surface-level science, Persephone has no desire to explore exactly why things work as they do. She enjoys learning all she can about her fields of interest without delving too deep into the magical mechanisms involved.
As she aged and left home, she discovered a new and alien experience: death. Finding a dying skydancer alone in the woods during her travels, she attempted to use her - at the time, minimal - skills in herbology to save the injured dragon. Finding that her efforts were in vain, she at last accepted defeat, and instead simply lay beside her, using what little magical abilities she possessed to try and guide her into the afterlife - whatever that may be.
Though it was sad at the time, she cherishes that moment for the rest of her life, finding comfort not only in her attempts to cure the dragon, but in her very presence serving as her final goodbye. From that day, she began studying and learning all she could, joining a clan within the arcane territory in the hopes that perhaps her own magical abilities would be strengthened. She carries on the hope that she can continue to heal any sick or injured dragons who come to her, and lead the rest through their journey into whatever lies after.
Though the Spring Court tends to be frivolous, Persephone finds solace in her passion. She feels her presence has a larger impact than she could imagine. She is sometimes overcome with a daunting feeling that there are dragons out there who don't have the luxury of a painless death alongside a caring dragon. She's afraid that if she doesn't take action, nobody will. But does she really have as grand a purpose as some think she does? She's never been sure.

so uplifted by a warm intermittent breeze
that it made you want to throw
open all the windows in the house
and unlatch the door to the canary's cage,
indeed, rip the little door from its jamb,
a day when the cool brick paths
and the garden bursting with peonies
seemed so etched in sunlight
that you felt like taking
a hammer to the glass paperweight
on the living room end table,
releasing the inhabitants
from their snow-covered cottage
so they could walk out,
holding hands and squinting
into this larger dome of blue and white,
well, today is just that kind of day.

The snow has begun to melt. Replaced instead by the tender green shoots of spring and white of fresh blossoms. The Winter Court have had their season to reign... Now the Spring Court have stepped forward to prosper!
The monarchs slumber on but their child, [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/51049983]Primarch Eldan[/url], will lead the Courts for the seond year. Their inexperience didn't cause any disasters last year, so this year will be [i]great[/i] too!
The spring season of 2023 will be from March 20 through June 21. During this time only the hatchlings born of the Spring Court will have the right to join the Seasonal Courts. Dragons from other courts that were born during their appropriate season, may still be shared and registered throughout the year.
