Mesmeros came swanning out of the Meatcave 2.0 to start a new nest with Savka and they managed a respectable 3 eggs, followed by a less than respectable basic bognsneak baby preview.
Apparently, the strenuous self-care hasn't helped much yet, because three of his eyelids start to twitch when he sees the new nest. How is three eggs next in the pattern? What sort of pattern is this?

The babies have no idea what is going on, but enjoy watching and soon try to imitate his energetic and surprisingly athletic handstands.
Noting that an acceptable guardian has emerged from the mud, Savka takes the opportunity to slither back into the swamp. Hiding in mud is [i]her[/i] business, thank you very much! Handstands are not.

Mesmeros and Waxcap have been blessed with a single egg. Four pages of previews gave me a wildclaw. A sign?
A single egg could either turn out to be a good omen or a punishment for bad behavior. Mesmeros wants to believe it's a special egg, but... he celebrated that bogsneak. It was entirely inappropriate, for it was a failure like all the others.
He fears the worst.

Regardless, it was definitely NOT a sign. Mesmeros doesn't believe in that kind of thing. The world is full of coincidences that mean nothing and he wouldn't know because he does not see them.
