Dragons with slime and/or sludge - especially combined with soap - remind me of those weird goo candies in a tube that you'd squeeze out into your mouth that I used to get as a kid. (Extremely brief research tells me that I'm probably thinking of Hubba Bubba SqueezePops.) It was borderline radioactive stuff, but I was obsessed with the consistency of it. Food consistency is kinda like texture, yeah?
