I don't know how I feel about the game yet. I read some early reviews about engage before it came out and they weren't very promising. Know someone who bought it anyway despite the warning so I'll get to play it at some point when he's done. Three Houses really is an impossible act to follow buuut you can't blame previous success shadows to be the cause of bad game mechanic tutorials.
Friend wanted to name his main Colgate. Not sure if he did.

@reunion Ahem excuse this random ping from someone you have never spoken to but I've had your collection in my bookmarks for I think a year and they are very worthy of showing off :D I found your cool boy one day when going onto the dragon search looking for breeding range dragons for mine. Best discovery through the dragon search ever. Thought it was very interesting that we nearly had the same idea of what to do, but you did remind me that FR has earrings for dragons so I guess I did steal something [emoji=coatl tongue size=1] Edit: Haha between the three of us we have all the antlers!

Oh I love your Claude! I like how you made his mount as well. I’m kind of enjoying the more simplistic and slightly cheesy tone. I’m mostly hoping that the characters are at least half as memorable as the ones in 3 houses. 3 houses was my first Fire Emblem game, but I’m enjoying what little I’ve played so far. The gameplay is very snappy.

OH its out already?? I totally lost track of time! Three Houses was my first, and Im excited to play another one. I adore the Claude dragons, I really really want to play a Golden Deer run but its hard to leave the Blue Lions, Im too emotionally attached to them lol. [emoji=new friend size=1] I had fandragons of all of them at one point, but got rid of them awhile ago for space. I'd still love to get the other house leads at some point though!! OH its out already?? I totally lost track of time! Three Houses was my first, and Im excited to play another one.

Blue Lions was definitely hard and heart wrenching to watch. They all were. But I do seriously reccommend playing some more of the games because they're fantastic. As long as you don't mind resetting an hour of gameplay every now and then because you moved Tiki to the wrong square. Time resetting in houses was such a blessing. The last couple games that came out on the DS also had amazing stories and great personalities and it shouldn't be too hard to get a hold of them now.

And we should all appreciate Anna more.

@Ceruleanfire The obvious answer is: all of them :D
I can at least attest to the quality and care in the last few instalments. Engage not so much, but based on what I've seen it should be easier to swallow by people who are new to the franchise so I'm sure it'll be much more enjoyable than my doomsinging makes it seem. And I hope too that it will inspire you to play the past games if you decide to give it a try.
