@Sharkthecat What a pretty song! So gentle and sort of melancholic sounding, but also very touching and emotional? Really enjoyed this one. Went with a blue color as well as that's what color came to mind the most with this song for me, honestly. Midnight foam for similar reasons. Midnight for another reference to the soft night feel to me, and foam as a reference to the lyrics that mention flooding through. Also, ice eyes for similar lyrical reasons. The lyric before that mentions ice sheets, so of course, a combination of the foam gene and ice eyes seemed fitting to me! Ah... banana opal... what more needs to be said there haha. Jokes aside, although I mentioned the song mostly evoking blue colors in my head, I also imagined some yellows alongside that, mostly to evoke the warmth that sort of lines the song, especially with that mention of the sun. It's like little bits of soft sunlight poking through. Opal felt pretty perfect for that sort of thing. Picked a coatl cause they look soft and have a cute little smile. I could be interpreting them completely wrong, as i don’t speak Japanese, but here’s my interpretation: Metals for how striving for perfection the character seemed to be quite a lot more self-assured near the beginning of the song. They shove their emotions down, but Ground for how cracks began to show from the build-up of them. I initially chose arcane eyes for “Tell me, can’t I remain a child as I go through life? Am I useless for not being able to grow up?” which immediately made me think of permababies, so i ended up making them a hatchling anyways. Like, this kid looks like they’ve gone through too much to have lived through just the lifetime of a hatchling. I would’ve changed it to red, but that seemed too intense — pink fit for some reason. Their secondaries just fit. Noxtide and magenta because it matched with the pink, and because the black/purple is sorta creeping up on them like with the primary. Finally, black runes is just for overall gloom and the dark tone of the song. Much of these colours match colours in the mv as well - the flag that kept showing up was yellow, at the line “The world within me has collapsed,” the screen is pink and black with stripes pointing towards the middle.
