Dispatching an ink ant is a messy proposition: don't wear your finest.

While many ants are able to spray formic acid to subdue their prey, these particular ants are among the few whose acid poses a threat to dragon hide.

Eating a piece of candy only to find out ants have gotten to it first is a pretty scary horror story.
Yes, I would know. [emoji=coatl sad size=1]

By gods, the same thing happened to me but with a pack of cookies. And it wasn't noticed until I was several cookies in because I was eating in poor lighting.
Those darn packs where you peel the top back, and its meant to be sticky so you just press it back down to close it... Flimsy thing... Never got those again, its scarring.

I live with cockroaches, so I know the pain (I'd honestly rather have ants ngl). The solution is to keep them in the fridge when you're not eating them lol

Additionally, it appears to have some design inspiration to honeypot ants, which has certain worker ants gorge themselves on food to act as living storage containers, regurgitating liquid food for their fellow ants!

imagine youre in a dark spooky forest being chased by a beast ... relentless, pursuing you everywhere you go... its one ant that likely wont get past the tree it inhabits
[/quote]
I mean to be fair this concept is quite terrifying when you add a few things. I personally was genuinely unnerved by the ‘immortal but also immortal snail chases you relentlessly and you die if it catches you’. So something like that but with an ant with a very painful bite would be pretty bad
Like it’s too small to catch but you’ll know when it’s caught you again by excruciating bites happening randomly over your body

PLEASE. I made these purple and green ones in lore actually consume dyed honey so dragons know who's from which colony, but I'd really love just a yellow honey-coloured one.
