Welcome to Flight Rising! I'll send you a little starting gift.
If you have any more questions, you'll want to post in the
Help Center forum. "Guides" is where the pre-written explanations are posted; Help Center is where the people answering questions will look!
Thankfully, the other two replies are already pretty helpful. When training your first team, @/Treesixer123 wisely pointed you towards
EeveeDream's Leveling Guide. Scroll down to
"ASSIGNING STATS: SHORT VERSION" in the first post, and add the recommended stats & battle stones to your dragons each time they level up.
As you might have noticed, the Coliseum will
not reward evenly-spread stats; instead, high STR allows you to defeat enemies in a few attacks, and high QCK allows you to strike faster. The rest of the guide explains the hows and whys of each stone and increase, but the chart is there for easy reference.
If you're still confused on how battle stones work, or which ones to use, @/didipoundcake pointed you towards the "
Builds" section of
Maki's Battle Stones Guide, which helpfully explains how different stats and stones function.
Since you've already spent a few points and hit a wall, you have a couple of options:
start a new team of 3 Level 1 dragons, or stick with the old team. If you have lots of Treasure and Gems at your disposal, there are actually a few other options, but I'll assume this is on a beginner's budget for now.
You
can use a
Tincture of Dissolution in order to reset a dragon's stats and re-assign the points, but at
30,000 Treasure each for a 1-use item, 90kt is a bit pricey compared to buying
3 adult dragons for less than a single Tincture costs. You can even find free dragons in the
Raffles & Giveaways forum.
Lastly, I want to stress that you've joined at an opportune time;
Night of the Nocturne is a hectic, annual event that encourages you to interact with several areas of the site. Until January 1st, nearly every activity you can do has a chance of giving you event-exclusive food and trinkets, or even a
Strange Chest, which can be opened for a random assortment of event-exclusive items.
The additional creatures and trinkets can be traded through
Higgins' Haunted Hollow for more Strange Chests and other exclusive items. Scroll through his stock and see what catches your interest; there are plenty of things that cost Treasure and Gems, but as it turns out,
selling your unwanted extras can be a great moneymaker!
Besides the Coliseum, you can get these random item drops from
Gathering items, interacting with the
Trading Post dragons, bonding with your familiars, and
laying or hatching nests. See
this year's announcement for more details. Good luck out there!
