honestly the way I pace myself is... casually. I do my dailies, I put on a podcast and fam bond until I get through everything (or I get bored which doesn't tend to happen on the first few days), and then I coli until I get bored of that.

I pretty much just do whatever and don't worry about collecting everything - it'll all b back next year!

Just remember that a lot of the items in chests are going to be dirt cheap after the festival is over! When buying from Higgins, prioritize items you know you'll use and new items. The older items will be cheaper than the new ones for a long time yet.
When it comes to coli, I like to find a playlist of videos about 30-60 minutes long. Every time I finish a video, I get up and stretch and decide whether or not I want to keep going. Listen to your body! If your hands start to hurt, maybe it's time to stop for the day or at least change things up. I like to switch between keyboard shortcuts with my left hand, mouse coli with my right, and using my drawing tablet with either. Remember that clicking a mouse puts strain on your hand just as bad as the keyboard can.
In the end, just remember that none of this is going away after. There's always next year :)

It's okay! There are two whole weeks, and yes there's a lot, but there's a lot of people collecting things too! Even if you can't get everything yourself, you'll be able to swap stuff with people who have doubles, or even buy it when the prices get low.
Lots of people will have many, many copies of the familiars from previous years and will be very willing to swap them for newer doubles. See if your Flight chat has a NOTN Swap Thread, or there'll be one around in Items For Sale.

I'm in a similar boat, I skipped like... 3 NotN? Maybe two, but SO MUCH has changed and has been added.
The good thing is that every chest is soemthing new [emoji=special eyes size=1][emoji=special eyes size=1]

I don't really have a strategy going into NOTN this year. Just do what I am able and quit for the day when I get tired to avoid burnout!
I feel the same as you do, I took a BIG hiatus from Flight Rising and didn't participate last year, I forgot how big of an event this is!
Another important thing especially since you have 4 years of catchup - get those templates for item cataloguing! Everything becomes cheap by the end of the festival, so don't rush trying to complete it by yourself. Just keep tabs on what you were able to get and then complete with your amassed funds.

I normally get a bit overwhelmed from all of the new stuff. I just try to relax in the coliseum for a few hours (at the very least) the first few days, to get adjusted to it again. I've had a few Notn's before, many of them I don't have much of a strategy going in (this one is the opposite for me), and it's been just fine in the end.

No need to panic! There are 2 weeks, things will accumulate. And whatever you don't get will get cheaper as NotN goes on, in general.
