It’s not a holiday recipe per se but I always think it’s a good move to bake pieroshkis with sweet cut apple filling. I’m trying to memorize the recipe and get better at it so I can do it without any help :)
(I also need to improve my peeling the apples split, it really makes me lose entire minutes from the standard pace of the pieroshki% run)

I think this is a very Dutch thing: Oliebollen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliebol
it's basically fried dough, sometimes with filling, and is traditionally eaten a new years' eve treat. I like to treat myself to various types of filled oliebollen (my favorite is probably cherry filling - basically think cherry pie but oliebol. I like most variants though!) over late november and most of december. the special ones tend to go away after Christmas bc most people want plain or raisin oliebollen for new years.

Share a recipe![/quote] im a big coffee lover so all the "festive" limited time flavors at dunkins are the BEST... right now my go-to order is a large iced coffee with the brown sugar cookie flavor shot OR the toasted white chocolate flavor shot!

Thursday's question: On thanksgiving and christmas I really love pumpkin pie, candied yams and cranberry sauce. On halloween I really love caramel apples

One holiday recipe we always prepare is homemade orange-cranberry sauce. We always add orange peel and orange zest to the base recipe to make it citrusy. Here's a recipe.
