Salem jumped at the disappointed voice. She watched the dragon scold her, ashamed. "I-wait-sorry." she stammered. Salem would have apologized further, but the patterns on the aberration's wings were quite pretty to her, and she stared as they walked away.

He peered down at them through his wrappings, his voice splitting into a hoarse rasp like sandpaper when he spoke, rumbling in his chest as his scales brushed one another. "Getting up to trouble?" Keeper murmured, yet didn't turn his head fully to look down at the Pearlcatcher. With a grunt of exhaustion, perhaps, he sat back on his haunches, then pulled in a rattling breath. "I tease, but... would hope you don't mind if I rest a moment here."

This one looked smart however, so hes was sure this one would be a difficult catch... But the challenge was just as tempting as the snack itself. Maybe all this thought was because hims hungy.

He most certainly wanted to swoop down and appease his boredom by playing a few games with this specimen. Thought, he thought, he would be more amusing with some pink.

Off to the side, his familiar, Sunlit, watched him like a proud mother. "You... you smell different. You smell like... familiar?" Horus made a noise of annoyance, continuing to sniff at the imperial. When he looked up, his pale eyes shone with the knowledge of millennia. "A God meets a Demi-god... may the Plaguebringer pity you!" Sunlit's face off to the side turned to disappointment, but lacked surprise. Meanwhile, Horus continued his monologue, circling the "creation". "Imagine, a child of light and magic daring to remain in the presence of knowledge and wisdom embodied? Creature's... sniffing from afar. It was almost mesmerizing, how lowly other dragons could get. They chuckled to themselves, unable to turn away. "Hehe... It's almost tragic," They said to nothing, not daring to come near it. "Father calls me an unearthly beast, but look at this! It can hardly differentiate between prey and dragon, I reckon." Alistair crept ever closer, genuinely fascinated with this so-called god. "How these beasts make it through their lives not ever considering their own brutality, I could never know... Still, it makes a good story to tell the others." They turned and darted away. "Gods, heh... They know nothing about the title."

She imagined batting Alistair like such a yarn ball, and Animal was given to a deep, warm laughter that rumbled in their immense chest. She may have been a beast, but even beasts had wisdom of their own. Animal bit her tongue to hold back a comment on how ridiculous the little worm's entire getup was anyways. Instead, she took to flopping the rest of her body, initially reclining, into a full lay and breathed a sigh of content. The moments of calm that parted the chaos were nice, and provided ample time to soak up peace and detangle her voluminous pelt.
