ridgie npc my beluved, and the new weapons are super zesty!

Do the new familiars drop in the coliseum when you come up on them as enemies? I'm getting a little discouraged by how none of this new stuff drops and just has to be 'shopped for' -- makes coli'ing a little less exciting than it is during other events, despite an XP boost that makes me feel like I should be coli-ing.
