@Dessy Username & ID: Fosterson (#217510) Dragon: Sowilo [br] Short Introduction: Sowilo is unconcerned with concepts like 'worthiness' or 'deserving' or 'would I even want this if I got it'. While he firmly believes that the Lightweaver, whose scion he is, will have both the wisdom AND interest to help the proper dragon find his or her place beneath the fabled crown, he is more concerned that there are those who might seek to be crowned using the bloody, underhanded, and divisive methods of the ancient and quite fallen kingdom. And while he doesn't think he has any real interest in being that self-same king, his beautiful but ambitious mate Hortense isn't quite so shy about prodding him to seek the crown for himself. Other companions: His cat Sunny (quite possibly the largest yellow tabby on Sorineth), his pearlcatcher mate Hortense (occasionally anyway) and a really annoying ferret that seems to have attached itself to him when he made the mistake of feeding it (his familiar)

As the heirs were introduced at the entrance of the great hall by the Coatl Ramses, Anubis and Anput carefully observed each of the heirs as their names were listed. One particular heir stood out to both of them, this Skydancer's introduction caught their attention, and their gazes fixiated onto them.

As the locations were laid out, Anubis and Anput did not have to exchance any looks, to know where they were heading. Emporer's Wake, their home area. A subtle smile spread across their lips as the Land was called out.

'Well, I certainly did not expect to return home this quickly', said Anubis. Anput nodded in agreement, 'We already have allies in that Area, so making more of them should not be too big of an issue.'
Anubis makes their way through the crowd and approaches Cassata in a slow but regal pace, carrying themselves with much confidence and charm. Anubis halts before Cassata and greets them with an elegant small bow.
'Good day, Cassata', Anubis started. 'Your Introduction certainly intrigued me. You seek knowledge and power of the dead, yes? It is quite rare to see anyone else besides my family, being able to interact with the souls of the dead.'

'I certainly hope you have treated these souls with utmost respect, and continue to do so.', Anput intervened.
Anubis nodded towards Cassata in agreement to their spouse. 'Given the circumstances, I would like to challenge you for your crown, before we head towards our next destination.', Anubis continued, displaying their sharp teeth through a slight grin for a split second.

The Leader of the Valley of Kings Clan, is Anubis.

In his absence, their spouse Anput is the next in command. While the royals have twins, only their daughter Kebechet is interested in being next in line
to the Throne, while her brother, Sphynx, is determined to lead their army through necessary battles, and return victorious from every single one.

Anubis is the god, guardian and protector of the dead.
They guide souls to the Underworld and escorts them
to the Hall of Two Truths, where they would have
their heart weighed against a feather.

Anubis is a powerful being, yet charming and true to their people.
They and their family work tirelessly to keep their Kindgom and their people safe and provide only the best living environment possible.

Anubis and their family are loved and cherished by their folk, who display their gratitude to the royals with daily gifts of appreciation; such as planting flowers in the royal oasis or writing stories about great battles won.

this isn't the first time Oyl has been overlooked for a crown, and it certainly won't be the last! but that's what the game is all about. the Hewn City is the stomping grounds of the Aberration who has taken in herself and her Mush Queen mate, so it seems the natural place to start.

...after she takes a swipe at one of the FALSE crown-bearers on the dais. Oyl lifts up her massive candelabra companion, hoping Yosh might provide a better read on whose soul needed the purifying power of a Hinky-punch.

Glissen isn't far behind faer mate, but she's too late to suggest waiting to gather more information before taking any swipes. "Oyl! Oyl, no!" fae pants, bounding down the massive stairs towards where the dragons have all gathered. "as the Mush Queen of the Ivory Tower, i command you to stop!!"

no use: Oyl makes her move on Cassata.

If it weren't for her mate and daughter, she would be feeling quite lost in this all. To make matters worse, she wasn't chosen as an heir. Did that mean she was unworthy? She had heard that she was allowed to challenge to be made heir, but she was never a fighter. Maybe she had a few magical abilities, but she had never trained herself in combat. No, her purpose beforehand was to just be married off, and then after that she was just a simple dragoness living in an unassuming clan. Hakone was gently rubbing her side, sensing her discomfort. "If you don't want to stay here, we can go somewhere else?" Hakone said softly. "After all, the host said we need to talk to others in the kingdom, we could leave." "Ugh, Dad, people are gonna think you're weird by talking to mom out loud like that," Nissi said from the other side of Zicatela, still stuffing her face with food from the banquet that was thrown for the equation. "Nis, please, mind your manners," Hakone said back, sweatdropping at his step-daughter talking with her mouth full. Nissi shrugged and swallowed down her food. "Hey mom, can we go to the Mirrorlight Prominade?" She began to excitedly chatter. "I heard that some of the pillars are still so tall they look like they touch the sky, and that the platform itself is large enough to host several clans. It's gotta be like a city there, and a city means shops and traders! We could buy or barter for some really cute accessories and souvenirs to take home with us!" Zicatela smiled at her daughter's enthusiasm. At least Nissi was enjoying herself, but the young Guardian seemed to see this as more of a vacation away from the clan than anything. Runes began to dance around Zicatela's head, spelling out "Sure, we can go there. While we're shopping, we can learn more about the culture of the light domain," She mused. In reality, shopping was the last thing on Zicatela's mind, but it would be a great distraction from her racing thoughts. "We might also be able to find someone to train you in combat," Hakone commented. Zicatela merely nodded, rising from her seat and beginning to make her way over to the exit. Hakone was quick to follow her. Nissi on the other hand had to jam as much food as she could cram into her maw before she was ready to leave, hustling after her parents. Zicatela was just about to step over the threshold before she heard another dragon already challenge someone for the crown. She looked over her shoulder and watched for a minute before shaking her head and walking away. "You know, maybe the challenges could be a challenge of wits too?" Hakone said with a little hope, trying to comfort Zicatela. Zicatela just sighed, leading her family to the Mirrorlight Promenade. King Thamadi is a guardian just like me, who comes from a long line of royal guardians, legend even says that his parents were each other's charges, how romantic is that? Then tragedy struck their kingdom, which caused Thamadi to flee with whomever he could save, which wasn't very many, unfortunately. Rumor says that when Thamadi had his clan in a refuge in the Crystalspine Reaches, Saphire fell out of the sky like a falling star and right into Thamadi's paws, revealing herself to be his charge. He named her Queen instantly. However, she looks like such an average Fae, I find it hard to believe that she fell from the sky like a falling star. Maybe she's hiding something from us! Oh shoot, I have to get going, or my parents might leave me behind, Bye!"
Feel free to ping me for roleplay y'all

DAY ONE

As Bane listened to the coatl's words, he began to size up those holding the crowns. Many of the six held haughty gazes, but his eyes trained on the guardian male with goggles. He held himself less proud and more... wary? Defensive? Like a soldier preparing for a battle. The obelisk studied him for a few more moments before glancing away, deciding that the oppourtinuty of a challenge would arrive in a better place.

The warrior shifted his gaze to the Skydancers who had joined him, the ones he had made light chatter with previously.

"Well," he murmured so the crowd could not overhear. "Where do you think we should go first? If we decide to stick together, after all. The Mirrorlight Promenade would be my choice, but we can part ways if you'd prefer."

In reality, Bane didn't want to be in the destructive pathway of an Emperor. Although he could hear WindVictory's playful taunts at his adversity to the area, he wasn't about to end up dead just to prove her wrong. He was brave, but he was also smart.

NOTES

Day 1 - Sunday

Tell us about your clan's leader. If your clan does not have a leader, talk about who would be most fitting to lead your clan and why!
52755239_350.png

Artemis is the humble leader of my (currently unnamed) clan. He treats this position with great respect and others do so in turn; though he is the founder of the clan, he stayed leader due to this respect. He has a mate, Hellsing, who helps manage the clan and its territory. (She tends to take care of the latter)

Their leadership positions don't necessarily make them the governers of the clans people, however, as many dragons simply come and go. This is the way of the clans structure, it takes in those searching for a place and lets them go if they decide it lies elsewhere.
Despite that, they do prioritize the clans protection, and suspicious dragons aren't simply allowed to doddle in and create havoc.
