TOPIC | Lucky's Nuzlocke: An Unlighted Path
The earth split. Horrible cracks appeared, swallowing entire sections of the near-ancient lair whole. In the chaos, a lone nocturne hatchling wraps eir wings around emselves and an even tinier fae hatchling. The nocturne stumbles through the rubble and leaps over the cracks, still too young to fly. Ey trip out of the entrance, tossed about by the tremors. Ey look behind em. The lair is finally completely swallowed. All that's left in it's place is a deep canyon, so deep and dark the bottom is imperceptible.

There are no survivors, except for the two hatchlings. An ally clan finds the two still clutching each other, and decided to take them in until they survive on their own.

Savory and Legato, as they come to be named, never fit into their clan. Throughout their childhood, they are simply passed around from ally to ally, making only a few aquantinces and seeming uninterested in clan life. The very day they are grown, they run away to start a clan of their own, regardless of warnings.

Progenitors: Savory and Legato
Two sibling dragons who started the clan.

Deceased: Legato

Chapter 1:

The two dragons work together to dig out a lair into the scrub, free from the harsh sun of the daylight. They sleep nestled against each other and the rocky walls to prevent themselves from freezing during the harsh, cold night. Tomorrow, they will scavenge.

Chapter 2:

The two wind up invoking the ire of the local beastclans when they unwittingly infringe upon their hunting and gathering grounds; after a lot of skirmishes, they manage to strike an agreement to share resources. If needed, the two will help tend the farms of the beastclans in troubled times.

Legato becomes interested in magical fighting, and Savory in physical fighting. Lacking the resources to train these skills further, however, they simply keep with their default skillsets.

Savory is now Level 5.
Legato is now Level 5.

Chapter 3:

One rival beastclan breaks the agreement. Savory survives, but at a cost. Legato is killed.

Savory doesn't know what to do. All they can think of is to run away, as quickly as possible. They collapse amongst the scrub. When they wake, a young guardian stares them in the face.

Savory names them Battuta. The young guardian is already larger than they are, but they curl around Battuta inside the new, smaller den. They'd make sure they wouldn't lose this one.
