Raiden is my Lawful Good dragon! He is the clans record-keeper, treasurer and occasional storyteller. Some in the clan think he would be a better clan leader than the current one, but Raiden is comfortable where he is at, and is confident in the current leadership. He was exiled from the clan after he attempted to kill the clan leaders and founders, Izzari and Baeniira.. He proclaimed that the current leadership was wrong, and was leading the clan to ruin. He claimed he knew a way to raise the clan to greatness, by ravaging other 'lesser' clans to take their knowledge and money. It was all for the sake of the clan, he said. Sionyn lead a chase that forced him deep into Plague territory. Many in the clan still blame him for whatever misfortune befalls them, despite his whereabouts being unknown. Most of the important lore dragons are Lawful, so I'm going to list the MOST Lawful of them. His presence there has been the subject of debate within the clan for as long as he's been there. He was not born to Clan Vibrant, but to a pair of travelers passing through who left his egg behind. Through the kindness of strangers, Smith survived hatchlinghood and grew until he left to build his own home at the abandoned edge of Clan Vibrant's land. Once discovered, many wanted to throw him out. Others, contented by his bright coloration, felt there was no reason to run him off, as long as he would sell his apples at the market. This humble apple farmer may not have a say in the goings-on of Clan Vibrant or their encounters with the Waterway, but he does feel that the war they face stands in the way of order both within the clan and in the clans of the visitors who come for the clan's many festivals. At the same time, he simply can't accept the idea of eradicating those in the Waterway as a solution - not only will it unbalance the land, but he himself has had experience with being unwanted. His bright coloring is a status symbol, and a reflection of the poison he brings into the world. As Clan Vibrant positions vivid coloration as the highest reflection of status - and indeed, of belonging to the clan - Tinctorius has definite bragging rights with his complementary coat. He knows very well that should the clan's emphasis on beauty and color ever change, his social status and power would plummet. He also knows one other thing, which no other citizen of Clan Vibrant knows - the denizens of the Waterway are not beasts at all, but sentient beings, just as intelligent as the Clan. Should this information be discovered by the public, the social system would surely crumble, and his status would plunge into the dust and rubble with it. He is determined to prevent this at all costs by ensuring the perpetuation of age-old rumors and destroying any evidence found regarding the formerly grand society of Waterway. ----- ----- A yawning cavern stooped over the form of a vibrantly-colored Skydancer, dwarfed in size by two equally-vivid Imperial dragons. The two shot glares at one another over the head of their leader as she gazed warily into the darkness. Just before either could bare its teeth at the other, the Skydancer spoke. "Smith," she began, eyes still on the emptiness before her, "you know why Clan Vibrant finds itself here today." The red-and-green imperial shifted his gaze away from the other to glance at the dragon who'd allowed him to live on his farm for so long. Although, he thought somewhat bitterly, that may change very soon. After a moment of silence, Smith realized she was waiting for him to respond. "Yes, Cempasuchil," he said quietly. "I know what you intend to do to end this war." "Is this war?" The skydancer finally turned her gaze to the apple farmer. "If one side is comprised of beings, and the other of beasts, can it be called war?" The other imperial scoffed. "This is an extermination, encroacher," he said with a sneer at Smith. "You wouldn't go to war with insects, but you'd stamp out the wasp's nest." Smith bristled. "And you would know pests, wouldn't you, Tinctorius?" he spat the name like venom. "Enough, both of you," snapped Cempasuchil, her patience with the two waning. "Smith, I know you have your opinions about these creatures and how you feel order should be kept, but I must put the safety of my people above the personal feelings of a single dragon who was not raised into our history." She turned back to the cavernous entryway, shoulders squared. "Cempasuchil, please-" Smith took a step forward, flinching back at the warning snarl of Tinctorius. "Not another step, encroacher," the other imperial hissed as his patience for the rogue snapped. His teeth clacked sharply by the farmer's ear as he warned him back. Smith stepped back, ears pinned to his skull. He glanced from the dark, hateful eyes of the larger dragon before him to the furry back of the dragon he'd previously come to see as a sort of friend. He'd been silent for far, far too long to simply leave this. "...Please, Cempasuchil. This won't bring peace. Open your eyes to them. I'm begging you, if nothing else, just look at them, and tell me they're-" the farmer's words were cut off by a vicious club to the side of the head. He stumbled sideways, forced to his knees by the blow, and glanced up with blurry vision to the blue-and-violet swirling patterns of Tinctorius, turned away from him to the blurry blueish form of Cempasuchil. "...nctorius!" she was snarling when he regained his wits. "If you can't control your temper you can wait in Ghostlight with the families." "What need to I have to control my temper when we're about to end these monsters for good?" The high-society pomp was evident in his snide remark. The leader did not respond, her tired glare morphing into something like thoughtfulness when it fell upon Smith, still crouched over the stone ground. Then she turned away, taking her first steps towards the end. "Call for the rest," she commanded the smug zealot over her shoulder. "One way or another, this ends today."

Lawful Good: Cempasuchil, leader of Clan Vibrant, does what she can to care for her citizens. They have been at war with the morbid beasts living in the Waterway below their beautiful Ghostlight for countless generations. Though perhaps others would have fled - and indeed, many families have chosen to find safer places elsewhere over the centuries - Cempasuchil's line and any who follow her will continue to ensure the beasts below never escape to wreak their havoc upon the world. This is a stress that takes a toll upon many of her citizens, and Cempasuchil will continue to give all she has to keeping them as safe and happy as she has the power to do, even if that means keeping personal watch every night over the city of Ghostlight.

41814189_350.png

Lawful Neutral: Smith is content with his apple farm on the edge of Clan Vibrant's territory.

41417356_350.png

Lawful Evil: Tinctorius is a high-society citizen of Clan Vibrant.

The red-and-green imperial shifted his gaze away from the other to glance at the dragon who'd allowed him to live on his farm for so long. Although, he thought somewhat bitterly, that may change very soon.

After a moment of silence, Smith realized she was waiting for him to respond. "Yes, Cempasuchil," he said quietly. "I know what you intend to do to end this war."

"Is this war?" The skydancer finally turned her gaze to the apple farmer. "If one side is comprised of beings, and the other of beasts, can it be called war?"

Smith bristled. "And you would know pests, wouldn't you, Tinctorius?" he spat the name like venom.

"Enough, both of you," snapped Cempasuchil, her patience with the two waning. "Smith, I know you have your opinions about these creatures and how you feel order should be kept, but I must put the safety of my people above the personal feelings of a single dragon who was not raised into our history." When she is caught doing anything outside of those, she weasels it back in using the technicalities she spends a good portion of her free time finding. She believes in the good of the clan, at the cost of morality. She has taken many mates and performed many questionable actions in the hopes of finding a strong heir to forcibly mold into the perfect warrior, someone capable of taking her position and rising higher. Her methods are brash and destructive, she will go so far as to kill a higher ranking dragon in order to 'preserve the clan.' It has not yet occurred, but she will do so if necessary. She has her eye on leadership, but will not kill the leader, there are laws against it, and gods help anyone who says she does not follow the law. She believes in order, and yet, when chaos ensues, does nothing. When asked to describe herself, she says that she is simply a watcher, someone who will when asked will talk about what they see, but until then, remain silent and inactive. She has often been spotted before or after a disaster flying to or away from the place, but anyone involved in the disaster all say they did not see her. He builds and rebuilds the many structures within the territory, offering himself up whenever necessary or even when not. Serving the good is his highest priority, believing it to be the greatest calling. There is someone he absolutely refuses to help, or anyone else directly affiliated with them, but other than that, he is always willing to try his best to reform anyone evil, and help anyone good. ---------------- If they all walked into a cave, Medusa and Sol would argue with each other in a civilized manner, but passive aggressively snipe each other with veiled insults. East would sit in the corner with her familiar and eat something equivalent to popcorn. Medusa would likely get defeated in the argument because she would rather do something else and lose on purpose, take a swipe at any surrounding dragons for good measure, and then walk out to go train the amateur warriors. Sol afterwards would ask East some questions, get the answers, and return to his house. East would put down the 'popcorn', and leave.

She follows the laws of the clan almost down to the letter. When she is caught doing anything outside of those, she weasels it back in using the technicalities she spends a good portion of her free time finding.

East fits Lawful Neutral.
She makes no action for evil, and yet no action against it either.

Sol fits Lawful Good.
He gladly helps anyone and everyone he can, but if he detects bad intentions, he refuses outright.
If they all walked into a cave, Medusa and Sol would argue with each other in a civilized manner, but passive aggressively snipe each other with veiled insults.
