My art doesn't really fit the whole aesthetic of this site & all so I'm probably not gonna be selling it, haha. I tend to focus more on concepts and stuff rather than just drawing a character. Anyways, any critique or feedback would be wonderful! Positive or negative, any feedback is great ^^

Do you have artists statements for these? Because I would love to critique these since they are so interesting but it would really help if I knew the intent behind them (If there is any)

No critique, just wanted to let you know the bottom piece is super amazing! -I'd buy a print if I saw it in an art shop!-

@Dragonett

critique for the sixth piece: remember that when drawing a face, eyes should be about an eye width apart.

Otherwise everything looks superb! Especially the last piece !

I tend to just leave my art as, 'What do you think it means? Then that's what it's meant to be.' It's all up to whoever's viewing it, really. Like, with the piece below I've had people assume the lines are veins, others think it's electricity. Some people think it's got a suicide vibe, others just think it's because long hair is annoying. I just roll with it, haha.

Or with this one, some people think it's about some 'dying breath' concept, others feel it's about our faces merely being a mask. Stuff like that.

However, if you have any specific questions about something I'd be more than willing to answer ^^'

I gotta say, I love the surrealistic ideas here. You have a super creative mind and it really shows in your work.

That being said, there are a lot of anatomy things that you could improve upon.

-Faces. Your faces are drawn very long and thin (mostly in profile). The eyes aren't quite the right shape, and the lips lack definition. It would be good for you to study humans from photos to give you a better idea of the proportions and shapes.

If you place a photo next to one of your pictures and draw lines to your picture showing the location of the lips, ears, eyes, etc. in the photo, it will show you where your proportions are off. (This is easier to do digitally, but you can do it traditionally with tracing paper.)

-Anatomy. You really need to study the human figure some more and learn more about the muscles in the human body. Like in this picture:
escape_by_squiddikin-damvcy2.jpg

The lower half of the torso is far too thin. The muscles of the upper back are incorrect as well. You've drawn the shoulder blades far too close together, and the trapezius is nowhere to be seen. Here's a ref that might help you see how the trapezius muscle moves and distorts:

Also these tutorials:

You're already a cool artist, so I know you're capable of improving upon this. Good luck!
