It's because they're ancient breeds, and that's just how ancient breeds work. I don't know if there's any official (or unofficial) guide about ancients, but they can't wear apparel or breed with other breeds and don't have to follow the usual rules moderns do to work with apparel. You can tell if it's an ancient by the [emoji=ancient size=1] symbol on them.

I got a hatching with a primal eye type after breeding my first two dragons, and am pretty confused...
-Can eye types be passed on to offspring?
-I read somewhere that genes are only passed on from the parents (recessive genes aren't a thing in Flight Rising I guess), so why did the hatching get a primal eye type? Shouldn't the hatching have the same eye type as the parents by that logic?
-Can new eye types just magically be a trait in your dragon even if the parent doesn't have it, and does this apply to the primary/secondary/tertiary genes?
-Are there and what are the other eye types?

@LapisWings There are two types of eyes, natural and unnatural. Unnatural eyes can only be obtained by using a vial on a dragon similar to using gene scrolls. For example Vial of Glowing Sight will give your dragon glowing eyes. These only apply to the dragon you used the vial on and can't be passed down to offspring.
Dragons hatch with a random natural eye type with some being rarer than others. Primal is one of the rarest so congrats :D
Eye types are not hereditary and are not passed down to offspring, the chance of getting each natural eye type is random.

I would say at least the amount of food they'll eat during their stay. I send a stack because I can't be bothered to do that math, but it's not really a lot of food necessary to keep them fed.

Hello, so I know I have seen some threads around where its a competition such as "whoever make the best outfit for my dragon wins a prize", and well I want to host one of these myself for help with having an outfit for my dragon~ The problem is just that I totally forget what forum topic it should be posted in and now I am going mad because I cannot figure out where I saw that dressing competition and therefore cannot figure out where to post a competition on my own whoop
