@SheridanCharon To each their own opinion I suppose; I personally enjoyed both -though I do indeed wonder where exactly this 'Rose' character came from, and why she replaced Harry.

I liked parts of Revelations, like the mannequin spider and the ending nods to Downpour and Origins, but overall I just did not like it.
In an interview, the director, Christophe Gans, said that Harry "didn't feel like a masculine character" because of how he acts in the game with the "fainting, talking to himself, screaming and overall being vulnerable", so they replaced him with a female lead.
There was another interview with him where he also said that he didn't think "American audiences would be able to connect with a father looking for his daughter because it is unrealistic".

@SheridanCharon Understandable; I really like the parts with Pyramid Head~
He is very much a masculine character -maybe less masculine than some, but oh well. Kinda feels like they just wanted a woman as the main role. Honestly, I'm past it at this point, and dearly love the first + second movie. It would be great if we actually got a movie featuring Harry though.
Strangely enough, I do recall reading somewhere that Chris -Sharon's adoptive dad in the films- went by the nickname 'Harry Mason'.

Unless the bus was just an easter egg thing, since I think you see Travis' truck too and it makes no sense to do that story when it's a prequel to stuff that already happened in the film.
I love the chill Tender Sugar remix during the Joseph scene but I've never been able to find it anywhere. :(
@SheridanCharon Yeah I remember reading those comments about not wanting it to be a story about a father looking for his daughter and found them pretty weird and silly.
I do wonder if they had more planned for Rose since I remember seeing this image for the second film in promo stuff and I don't think it ever actually happened in the movie at all? https://i.imgur.com/fUg3YZF.jpg

@BladeDancer I thought that truck looked familiar. . .
I'll try to locate that version for you, and link it if I do :3
Also, that was an unused scene for Revelations where basically all that happens is Rose tells Sharon ''Run!''. X3

@Firefly15
I love how that ending just went crazy with sequel bait.
Thank you! Someone must have found a way of getting just the audio of it without the voices somewhere.
Aw, I thought it might have been some kind of interesting subplot with Rose been trapped. I can't actually remember, does she ever interact with Heather in the actual film?
