Update on my Thancred alt:
Picked up the outfit, did some story progression, and then this happened:

Update on my Thancred alt:
Picked up the outfit, did some story progression, and then this happened:
I decided to start DRK yesterday at some point after obtaining the daggers from the Yokai event, did Hall of the Novice as DRK to kinda learn the mechanics of tanking, did Sastasha as DRK, and I learned that tanking wasn't as bad as I initially thought, and today, I was mostly doing a bunch of HW FATEs as AST to farm Legendary Zazel Medals, and I actually obtained the katana and glamoured it onto the one I already had
So..... tldr, Tried tanking, did some farming, and got the weapon that I was actually excited about getting

I'm glad you found tanking not as bad as you thought! DRK is the one I've chosen to level first as well. Might try Paladin next since I do really like the look of all the skills it has to protect the team as well as yourself.
I've been farming the Stormblood wolf mounts with some friends and we've been using party finder to fill in the gaps but it kinda sucks when the random people that join get their mount and then immediately leave.

BladeDancer That's still pretty cool! I haven't gotten to Stormblood yet, but I have the wolf mount from Susano that I got from that one event that lasted until 5.3 came out. I also got the drake mount from the Amalj'aa quests and one of the lanner mounts from that event as well

I suspect that event will come back again before 5.4 with a new selection of mounts. It's a good way to get some of them.
Once you get a class to 80 you can get all the bird ones really easy with just two people.

Also, I have the DRK weapon and the AST weapon from the Yokai event, and I decided to do a Duty Roulette as Astro today, got Titan for like the umpteenth time now
Other than the fact that one of the DPS's fell off, it went pretty well (Actually commended the person who fell off, just to be nice to them)

I had been farming Qarn for the past few days just because I wanted a piece of armor that drops from there, and I finally got it today...

Also, damn that FFXVI trailer had heavy XIV vibes. I'd heard some of the Heavensward team had been working on it for a while, glad to see it's true!
