Hello! My sister's birthday is coming up and she's just started a skull collection, but I have no idea what animals have unique and fun skulls!
So I'm curious, is there a skull that you really like the shape of?

Im a big fan of bird skulls, ravens or crows are top tier, but all of them are good. I think its interesting to see the beak connect to the bone.

I don't have a skull collection yet but I'd love to some day. Some of the ones I like -
Babirusa have extremely interesting skulls! They're a type of boar with very flashy tusks.

Another one I've always wanted personally is a Jacob Sheep skull, they're a breed of old-world sheep (older breeds than your modern sheep basically) who can often grow four horns instead of the usual two. I just think they look so interesting and unique.

Also in the event you can't decide on or find a skull, the book Skulls by Simon Winchester and Nick Mann is a great book full of pictures from a massive skull collection with facts about the animals.

I have a plane old deer skull atop my bookshelf. They may not be the most flashy or interesting skull but by god do they look cool and their antlers are very beauttiful.
But...

Thought I'd also add - for the less ethically obtainable skull types out there (endangered species or even extinct 'fossils') you can totally get really good replicas! They can be a bit pricy but they look very real. Just search 'Museum Quality Skull Replicas' and you can find quite a few stores dealing in them.
I know I've had a sabretooth skull wishlisted for years now (one day lol).

(on mobile so I can't post a pic unfortunately)
My first and favorite skull is that of a gar fish! They're really long and have teeth like needles.

Why is a mouse when it spins? The higher the fewer!
i own a bunch of skulls, with the tiniest one being an anole and the biggest being a cow. i think my favorite is my coyote skull, though! legal, cheap, and just plain looks cool
as for just skulls that are completely wild? tapirs.

It's not really peculiar as far as skulls go, but I find deer skulls aesthetically pleasing. I've been wanting to start a skull collection myself, but bones aren't easy to come by...
