[rule] To start a discussion: what are your thoughts on the sequel to Breath of the Wild? I think it looks very cool and mysterious. My personal favorite Zelda game so far has been Majora’s Mask, so I’d be very excited for another darker game. I can’t say I have any real theory on what the green spirit hand is, but I am excited for the possibility of a playable Zelda, or for her to have a more major role!

I'm very excited for the BOTW sequel! My hope is that they focus much more on the story than they did in the original. I'd also love to be able to see some development in the towns (especially castle town) if we have the same map.

I'd also like to see some new way to interact with the world, it seems like the glowy hand might provide that. Sorta like how Majora's Mask introduced the mask mechanic, I hope we have some new mechanics to keep the world fresh.

My favorite Zelda game is the Wind Waker so of couse I'm hoping that they add a sailing element and things to use it for. New islands might be a great way to make the map feel fresh!

I can hardly wait for the BoTW sequel! I'd love a reasonably solid release date...but I'd take a semi-solid release date range!

I love the wander-in-whichever-direction-you-like aspect of the game. There were always -- well, still are after two years -- new things to discover all over the map.

I just hope they do better voice acting for English-speaking Zelda. I didn't like the original actor's voice.

I'm super excited about the sequel. Historically, every time we get a direct sequel to a Zelda game, it takes place in a new land, so I'm hopeful for some new terrain (though as Socks said, we're still discovering things in the original)

Also, though it's a stretch to say the least, I'm hoping for playable Zelda and/or two player co-op. Someone mentioned that her haircut might be a way of resolving issues that might come with her dressing up in various armor outfits (her hair in botw was kinda big) which suggests... she could be wearing those outfits.

anyway enough about that, my theory about the glowy hand is that it's connected to ??? somehow

Personally, I don’t think the hand has any connection to ??? - the series has a lot of strange hands (???, Midna, wallmasters, etc.) and none of them seem to be connected. I think it has something to do with spirits/ghosts, maybe even courage/Farore based on the coloring, but that’s all I’ve got. While other sequels have taken place in other worlds, I don’t think that’s going to happen here simply because of how much time it took to make BotW’s world. Maybe it’s changed somehow, with a corruption similar to Twilight (but Malice?), but I doubt it will be a whole new world. I’m not opposed to a new world, though. Maybe the old world just has some changes? Like a new cave system? I really don’t know. I wasn’t very fond of most of the voice actors either, but I think it would be even more jarring for them to change altogether. I’d rather they just keep it as is.
