[size=4](Sorry if this fits more in Creative Corner, but I figured since the OC thread was here, then this would be OK too? I'll move it if not.) Anyway Artists and even the people who aren't... What are character traits you like to draw or just look at? Examples of what I mean is.... Do you like drawing cartoony and goofy looking characters or sort of realistic gritty art designs? Do you like characters with horns, animal ears or other traits like that? Oh feel free to post art examples (that you drew or got permission to use). For me I like drawing really colorful characters with monster-like traits, usually that involves lots of horns, claws and sharp teeth. These characters can either be humanoid or cartoony. My character [url=https://toyhou.se/4769191.puppet-panic-zone]Puppet[/url] is a good example of what I mean, He's wacky and has long stretchy arms. [img]https://file.toyhou.se/images/16086857_dDYW6mmHJXsE5aX.png[/img] Another character with traits I enjoy drawing is [url=https://toyhou.se/4885740.yrgna]Yrgna[/url] and in this particular drawing he's sort of stylized in a way I nicknamed 'Jovvy'. I also really like the colors red, pink, blue and green so you might see me draw that a lot. [img]https://f2.toyhou.se/file/f2-toyhou-se/images/16833500_gteyyZkDBkJWBrj.png[/img] For non-OCs I really enjoy the look of Kirby characters, they're cute and some of them are simplistic but at the same time they're perfect. Taranza is one of my favorites of the many characters in the kirby franchise. He's probably the most interesting take of a spider character I've seen. I like drawing simple round characters like Kirby! Drawing exaggerated expressions like frowns and smiley faces are also super fun ^^

@Blueflare Id say im a semi-realist, I love trying to capture the more aggressive or "insane" nature of characters (aka, snarly boi's are the best boi's). A good example is this Imperial I did for my very short lived Inktober. [img]https://i.ibb.co/GCNvJ4Y/20191003-220750.jpg[/img] But on the flipside im a SUCKER for cutesy animal-eared chibis. I LOVE how delicate they are and just the cuteness. I think the artist Toastymilk (on Instagram) captures this adorableness quite nicely.

I personally love drawing character's noses; it's my favorite part of drawing humanoid's faces. I usually start with the nose then build the rest of the drawing around it. (See sloppy sketch below) [img]https://i.imgur.com/25eGjhm.jpg[/img]

i have a character who's got 13 eyes in total, though all but six are false eyes

and tattoos or markings you wouldn't normally see in at least north american society. one of my humans has black arms from the shoulder (excluding his palms) and another has a scripture tattooed down their arm

Believe it or not, hands!! I like stylizing them and playing with how weird I can make them look while still trying to make them look recognizable as hands.

Also horns. Horns are SO FUN to draw!

im gonna talk about creature design in general too so watch out fins are so fun to draw omg!!! so i keep making stuff with fins whoops. and by extension dragon/bat wings also i make. [/quote] i like more cartoony. for one its easier to draw and i like how it looks. i do kinda wanna learn to draw Realistic though... however!!! i always try to make my art colorful as hell!! i stribe to achieve kurzgesagt videos levels of colorfulness

i LOVE drawing big teeth and really expressive eyes!
and fluffy hair is also a constant in my art
