What are some silly fears you had as a kid and why?
When I was little, I was scared of Wheat Thins for like, a year, because I had a dream about a creepy talking Wheat Thin that would not leave me alone.

Sewer grates. Thought I’d fall in or get my foot stuck between the grates and never be able to get out.

Toilets
I had a nightmare where our toilet could move and chase me and there were a bunch of mechanical arms coming out of it, wielding knives and chainsaws
TV antenna
Those things on houses, they just looked really very extremely scary to me and I panicked when I saw them... I still feel uncomfy looking at one, that fear gotta be deeply rooted (but hey, I don't scream and cry and run away anymore)
Ducks
Another nightmare of a duck burning in our garden while staring at me
My mom bought a little duck statue and placed a Kinder egg underneath it from time to time to make me associate ducks with good things and it worked, I started to love ducks and even came up with a 'guardian duck' who would protect me- the same duck from my dream earlier, I learned to believe it burnt only to protect me from the fire

There was a period during my childhood where I had this recurring nightmare involving giant, weirdly elongated ladybirds... soo yeah I might've been scared of them for a little while. >.>
When I was very young I was petrified of anything that could fly - so insects, and birds if they came too close or swooped over my head. Thankfully I got over that fear a bit later on, but it was difficult for my parents while I had it... I remember one time I nearly got hit by a car because I'd ran into the road after a fly flew near me. D:

I was afraid of barbie dolls. Yes. Not like...actually scary dolls? Just barbies. And I’d get them every Christmas and every birthday so I ended up with a pretty big collection.
I found out that my cat liked chewing on them, so I’d sometimes “forget” to put them back in the drawer after I had had friends over just so he would “kill” them for me....I wasn’t the brightest of kids. But I really think toy story inspired this fear.

I was terrified of vacuum cleaners until I was like 11. I always casually avoided vacuuming because I was embarrassed to tell anybody I was scared of them.
Also was scared of shower drains because of the movie "IT." Literally only saw one scene from the movie, and it terrified me for years.
