i want to get dark souls remastered on switch sometime (i dont have anything i can play the trilogy collection on)
this is going to be my first souls game
anything i need to know b4 playing?
also i have researched the game a bit b4 and i have some questions:
-do the difficulty things make the game more interesting/enjoyable? from what i heard its more that u need to play it differently from most games than that its unfair and that ur meant to die constantly so u can learn from ur failures
also the idea of traps sounds really interesting and thats part of what attracted me to the game (i also saw videos of funny things that happened to ppl playing it)
-what class do i choose if i want to use both ranged and melee weapons around the same amount of time (ie use ranged when melee seems impossible and vice-versa)?
-is a magic knight "build" reasonable at all (melee weapons and magic)?

monkfishlover Sorry about the late reply >w< (On average, I get 200+ pings a day, so it's easy to overlook one)
You will probably die quite a lot during your first play-through, but you'll get better the longer you play it. I'm on play-through 5+ in III and still die often, so you should take note: This is a
very difficult game that holds absolutely
nothing back. Simply give it your very best, then carry on. It's much more fun after you've played it for around a month, and gotten used to the controls.
As you stated, many people dislike it becuase of the difficulty, even going as far as to call it unbearable (which at times is probably true...), however, I like a game that boasts a good challenge :)
As for builds, I've never went for any specific build. I just kinda level up this and that, until I'm
at least a decent level to fight in the current area, then play right on.
This should help with a few of your souls-related questions :) -Feel free to further discuss any Souls games here
(including Bloodborne)
