I just read the October thread and my head hurts... Stages, Narrators, Heroes... It's gonna be a complex one where you have to be smart to know what's going on, isn't it?

If you'd like, here's a bit of a summary! This was written by another user (Shazzbaa) a few days ago just as a note.
The Narrator apparently controls what happens here, and assigns each person a Role and instructs them to stay in character and follow his story. We walked in as The Wolf killed The Hero, who was trying to reach The Witch in order to break some kind of curse.
The Wolf was alarmed to see us out of costume and urged us to put on masks while we're on stage.
The Wolf has described the Narrator as having spies, "Stagehands" everywhere, but Iris recognised the "Stagehands" as kith -- kith who had something wrong with them. She's determined to free them from the Narrator, but Wolf is unwilling to defy the Narrator -- she thinks only bad things will come of it.
Iris ran into The Hero, who was revived and didn't remember meeting us, but agreed to learn about Allying with Kith. Iris found one, and with our encouragement, the Hero managed to Ally with them, despite the Narrator attempting to force him to fail.
It's been implied that the Narrator is the reason that the Hero can't die, and forgets each time he revives. The Narrator claims that all of this is necessary to protect the remnant, and that it has to be his story that plays out.
The Hero sneaked off and found The Witch, who has turned out to be a small child, and tried to convince The Witch to ally with a Stagehand, but not before Wolf showed up and scared him out of there. Wolf instructed the child not to talk to The Hero anymore, and The Narrator instructed everyone to go back to what they were doing. And that's where we are now!

Yeah the events are very fun but sometimes take a bit of explanation if you end up jumping into the middle of one- but definitely don't hesitate to ask if you are confused by anything, event or site-mechanics wise, a lot of us are usually jumping at the bit to help.
@Faolyn @Bui
Welcome!!
By the way, I want to mention that TW has a lovely Wishlist feature. Not only can you put items on it that you want, people can choose to gift you those items through it! You can put absolutely whatever there - it can be especially helpful if you're stuck on a quest.
And yes, people do gift stuff. There's a cohort of us who sweep through the Users Online list and the newbie forum every now and then. :) So, don't be shy.

@Faolyn you need to tailor most of your clothing yourself. you can also buy clothes from other players or earn some from quests. Dailies are a good source of common stuff
tailoring patterns do have levels, but you can tailor anything as long as you have the pattern and the materials. most materials won't stock until you reach their level, unfortunately, but you can always buy them off the marketplace or trade with others for them. There's usually some higher level tailors who can help out.
Or you can just go to Dione in the Coral Reef. that sonar I sent you can get you there, and her clothes come premade for now.

"Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
