One year ago today, the open beta for a little ol' site called [i]Tattered Weave[/i] opened. I didn't know much yet, but I had seen threads on FR about it, and decided to give it a try. ..And I never stopped playing. The site has grown and changed so much in this year, and I'm so proud of the staff and players! This is a bit of a congratulations post, and also a signal boost to this wonderful site whose user base I hope to see grow even more. The game is set in Hope, what we thought was the last remnant of the world after the apocalypse known as the Cataclysm. In December, we discovered we were not alone when the Enchanted Forest was found. And the remnants just kept coming. That's lore-wise for you! I like to call TW a pet site/avatar site lovechild. It isn't really one or the other, and I love it! [b]Kith[/b] The pets are Kith, our allies and companions in the world. Here's a sampling of my own kith. Say hello to Toxin, a stage 4 scalyx, Marina the stage 2 hermithog, Chicken the stage 1 whimperial, and finally Alex the stage 3 pluff. They want to learn and grow, and need our help! The pet site portion of gameplay on site is playing arcade games with them, feeding them food, reading books, playing with toys, and watching as their personality develops and their knowledge grows. This is what their pages will look like! Although I usually like to have my kith with an aesthetic. [img]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/194867445343715328/370970043758149632/image.png[/img] There are 13 personalities that a kith can have (along with Accomplished), all with unique lines that show up on their page and around the site! Here's Marina with the Bashful personality, and Chicken with Brave. Since then we have expanded to 15 kith and 4 premium ones, with more to come! Each kith comes in many colors and with 4 stages, which you unlock by increasing your kith's stats. A feature I really love is that you can change stages at any time, so choose whichever you like the most! Their art is lovely and I love all the kith so much, I can't wait to see what the artists come up with in the future. [b]Avatars[/b] You probably noticed my avatar in the above image. Tattered Weave has TONS of apparel, which can be layered in limitless ways for great looks. Here's some avatars from around the forums! And one of our admins, magical girl Diana. Layering works a lot like FR too, which means it's easy to figure out coming from here. I CAN'T FORGET ONE OF THE BEST PARTS THOUGH! TW has disability items such as wheelchairs, prosthetics, and canes, and they are working with people who have them to create religious head coverings. (I'll be mentioning I love the staff a lot in this, oops.) I especially love how they were put in the Headmaster's Office, not because they're premium items, but to be put up for a very low shard price (the common currency) and available to buy at any time for those who need them! That about covers the apparel, but there's a lot of good stuff there. [b]And of course, the lore..[/b] Easily my favorite part of the site. The NPCs all feel so ALIVE! You can ping them and talk to them in the forums and participate in discussions, they'll joke and poke fun at us, in one event a NPC became canonically engaged to a player. I-It'd be more fun if it wasn't for the circumstances, but it's still very good. Here are the Hope NPCs (missing Iris), the first you'll meet in the game. Their dialogue and stages are wonderful, and the quests even better. For your enjoyment, here's 4 of the current NPCs from our newest remnant found, The Shadow Stage. It's a very spooky Halloween-aesthetic place, and this month's event is centered on it. E-Everything is fine, don't worry! [s]especially dizzy who if you are in the FHG have probably seen me enter Many Times[/s] I've been rambling for a while but I just, I can't express how much I love this site. It has grown and evolved so much in just 1 year, and I can't wait to see what it has in store next. YES play this site it's Cool and Good! Plus they've made things easier on new players recently and there's a double money event right now (plus a halloween event) so it's a good time to join!
Granted you won't be able to access many of the spooks without some jumping through hoops by the time this post is 23 hours old but if you join in the next 23 hours someone will probably be able to hook you up.


like me for instance. I'm 1412 there. first two people to send me a trade will get a pass to the shadow Stage! People after that will get passes to the Coral Reef. Which, while fun and full of mer people and pirates n such, is not spooky or event related.

The events that let you get to know the characters, their backstories, their hopes and flaws....its such a unique thing that I have not seen in other places. The community is one of the best things I have had the pleasure of interacting with. Its not an exaggeration to say that TW has inspired me to expand in my art, to write and think about characters like I haven't done in years, and learn so much from all the other players in the community. i love tattered weave a lot! ive been regularly playing since, like, january of this year and i spend so much time on there that its kind of embarrassing

I'm not really sure it was touched on here but.. the community and staff are both really great. There's an active discord where lots of shenanigans go down and everyone's nice n chill. Devs pop in there from time to time too.

@W1F1N1GHTM4R3 I'd say it's dependent upon what you're looking for! I ended up sticking with TW for the community and story - I actually don't change my avatar often, do stuff with my Kith much, or play many of the games.

If you do decide to give it a try, the community is very helpful and friendly. We'd be glad to help you get oriented and to answer whatever questions you might have. :)
