Hey everybody!

@OMGZombehs and I have decided to start a dragon-themed book club. As soon as we decide on the titles, we'll post a schedule of Weekly Reading Suggestions--if you see something you like, add it to your calendar, read it at your leisure, and drop by that week for some lovely conversation and high-pitched sounds of glee.

If this sounds like something you'd like in on, please let us know so we can add you to our ping list!

Right now we're taking suggestions for reading materials, so if you have a favorite book (or books plural) featuring our favorite scaly beasts, please post its title and author below!

Once we have 10-20 titles in the arena, it'll be time for a vote! Any book with at least 5 "yeas" will become an official reading suggestion. Then we'll draw up a schedule and the reading may commence!

We're also looking for beta-readers who would be willing to read through some of the books ahead of time with an eye for any possible triggers. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, please let us know! We'll let you decide which books you test and which triggers to look for.

(If you have a specific trigger you'd like us to warn you about, please feel free to message myself or OMGZombehs. We're happy to help!)

Also, if your first language is something other than English, please let us know what it is! We'll make an effort to include/highlight books available in translation. :)

@IndigoRyu

Cool beans! That sounds like a great book--I'll add it to the list. :)

"TW" stands for trigger warning--kind of like a movie rating I guess? Standard triggers that we'll warn about include things like graphic violence and sexual content.

(I should mention TWs are ostensibly for people who experience panic attacks, post traumatic stress, and similar, who need to avoid things that will trigger them. But, it's also nice for everyone else, just so they have a heads-up.)

There was one dragon book I read recently...
The Great Zoo of China by Matthew Reilly
ISBN: 978-1-4767-4955-6
Length: 392 pages
Language: English (though it does technically take place in China)
TW: Um some blood and gore I guess? Nothing too bad
The whole book is basically Jurassic Park but with dragons. I probably have a few more dragon book lying around somewhere, I'll have to find them.

Ah, okay. ^^
About His Majesty's Dragon:
TW: Blood (since there is war, air fights and so...), gore too but only very slightly.
