Also, the Chinese Water Deer, a.k.a. Vampire Deer. Literally a little deer with fangs.
i have three-
i'm super interested in mayflies! i probably know more about them than any other insects lol
some facts about mayflies:
-there are over three thousand species!
-they are the only insect species to have a second mold after theyve gotten their wings
-in their "juvenile" form, nymphs, they can live for several years, but once they reach their adult molt they generally only live for a day or so. some species only live in their adult molts for as short as 5 minutes
-they're thought to have a lot of features that are similar to what the first flying insects would have been like
theyre very unique + interesting insects and i like them a bunch!
another favourite of mine is kakapo parrots! i did multiple projects on them in school- they're the only flightless parrot species in the world!
they're also herbivores, and are the heaviest species of parrot :O
unfortunately they're critically endangered, but there have been a lot of babies born in the last few years so it's looking up for them^^
last one (i didn't mean for this to get so long oh man) are greenland sharks.
they're really weird! they have the longest known lifespan of any vertebrae species + can live for upwards of 500 years!
they're also one of the largest species of sharks AND their meat is toxic due to large amounts of urea in their tissues. neat!

these birds are extremely underrated but they're honestly some of the coolest birds to ever exist! they're the only living thing that eats strictly bone marrow, and dye their feathers red by rubbing them into dirt! and they just, look so much like dragons,,,,
- assassin bugs, specifically, wheel bugs

these things are honestly super cool! the lil "wheel" on their back can puff up if they feel threatened, and their bite is extremely painful, so running into one would be pretty terrifying :P
- porcupines

This funky guy is also called a bearcat and it kinda looks like a weird ball of steel wool that grew a face. People say it smells like popcorn or corn chips. Which is weird.

Two of my many favourite animals are kinkajous and tamarin's. My school teacher told my class about tardigrades, so we all love them now.
(Anyone who tells me I spelt favourite wrong; a whole country of people spell it like that.)
