Please ping my name in your post if you have titles to suggest! The thread no longer alerts me to new posts!
It's Christmas time! Don't know what to get your bookworm friends? Get them books about dragons! Don't know what you want for Christmas? Ask for books about dragons!
DO YOU LIKE DRAGONS? OF COURSE YOU DO! DO YOU LIKE READING? I BET SO! DO YOU LIKE READING ABOUT DRAGONS? YES, YOU SAY? WELL, ME TOO! AND THAT'S WHY I WANTED TO MAKE THREAD ABOUT IT.
So! Hello there, Flight Rising Community! I have a request for you. I have no doubt that many of you here on this site have read books! And not just any books- books about DRAGONS! And I was hoping to find people willing to share some new titles with me.
I've been having withdrawal symptoms due to a lack of good books about flying, fire breathing reptiles, and since I could not find any sort of thread like this in existence yet here, I decided to make one! But I need your help. I want to make a master list of books with/about dragons, and as much as I love reading, I know there are dozens of epic dragon stories I haven't been lucky enough to read yet because I just don't know they exist. Can you help enlighten me?
There are a few criteria in the books I am looking for, though.
aaaand I think that's it! All the book titles in bold are every dragon story I've ever read (or at least remember reading). Please give me the title and author of books you want me to add to this list! Also, you don't need to, but if you want to add a short summary with your title so others can get a quick sample of the book, that'd be awesome!
HEY! Now that you've undoubtedly read ALL these books, do you want to discuss them? Analyse them? Or maybe you just want to gush over your favorites? Well, then head on over to Bookwyrms' Reading Lair! It's a book club thread that discusses books about dragons and also helps you find good reads! Take a look!

There are a few criteria in the books I am looking for, though.
- The books should (preferably) be centered around dragons.: None of this "oh yeah, as a side note our fantasy world also has dragons, but they're not the focus." (A good example of this, in my opinion, would be the book "The Hunting of the Last Dragon" by Sherryl Jordan, which, despite the name, is barely about the dragon at all).
- The dragon(s) must be the main character(s), or major player(s): If the book isn't specifically ABOUT dragons, then they should at least have a significant role in the book.
- Novel Legth: Actual chapter books and novels. Books the length of "Puff the Magic Dragon" do not count. Sorry Puff!
- What Kind of Dragon: Any and all! Good dragons! Evil dragons! Talking dragons! Dumb dragons! Silly dragons! Intelligent dragons! Civilized dragons! Feral dragons! Flying dragons! Earth bound dragons! Aquatic dragons! Fire breathing dragons! Ice spitting dragons! Magic dragons (Except puff)! Scientifically accurate dragons! Give me tales about all of them!
