Low on food? Have too many dragons that gathering just isn't cutting it? Look no further! This spreadsheet and guide will give you all you need to replenish your stores. I have often come across the question of "Where is the best place to grind for food in coli?" so I am here to answer that question with some solid data. You can see what the best venue is by Food Points per Battle and Food Points per Hour. There is also a ranking system included so you can see the best, second best, third best, so on and so forth. The data I have collected myself is pretty bare-bones; that is where the crowdsource data comes in. If you're a freak for coli and have some spare time on your hands, you can fill out a forum and your grinding data can be added to make the sheet more accurate! [img]https://i.imgur.com/1Sj6dGM.png[/img] [b]To add your data to the collection, just follow these easy steps:[/b] 1. Grab your favorite coli dragons 2. Pick any venue 3. Track your time 4. Record your battles 5. Submit your data in the google forum [b]Tips for better data gathering: [/b] Grinding teams are highly preferred over training teams. Training teams are usually slower (less active fighting dragons) and fodder training teams almost always reset at boss encounters. Boss drops are important for the data as they up the amount of food dropped per battle substantially. If you don't have a timer, start clocking your time by using a normal clock. Start at an easy to remember time (2:00, 7:30, 5:15...) and grind for a predetermined amount of time (an hour, half an hour, or more!) For counting battles, I would recommend a counting app or website sitting on the side (for example: I used a counting app on my phone while grinding on a computer). If you are using your only available device to grind, tallies on paper work just as well. Put all your food in your hoard into your vault before starting. This makes it easier to know what food was picked up from grinding vs the food you already had. The spreadsheet includes a food point calculator! Simply add up all the foods with the same point values, plug them in to the calculator, and record the number in the Total box. Make sure the calculator is clear before entering your data. For foods worth more than five points (such as boss drops), there is an extra empty column to enter the foods and point value. Here's a quick opinion on each of their best/worst attributes. The food that drops most often will appear by the venue name. What were you expecting from the lowest venue? Insects appear most often and meat appears least often. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_meat.png[/img] Woodland Path: Also not great overall, however it does take second in meat per hour. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_insect.png[/img] Scorched Forest: Again, not great overall as seems to be the trend with most low level venues. Pretty even food distribution with insects coming out on top. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_insect.png[/img] Sandswept Delta: Worst for seafood, pretty great for insects. An easy way to fill up on bugs without worrying about the enemies laying a finger on you. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_plant.png[/img] Blooming Grove: Amazing for plants, and pretty great for everything else. Would definitely recommend if you need a little bit of everything. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_plant.png[/img] Forgotten Cave: Top producer of plants. Average on everything else. If you have a ton of tundras, consider taking a visit to the caves. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_plant.png[/img] Bamboo Falls: Great if you need everything but insects. It's low insect score drags it down in the overall standings, but it is still worth the trip. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_meat.png[/img] Thunderhead Savannah: Pretty great for meat. Pretty ok for everything else. If you want easy meat, I would definitely recommend the savannah. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_seafood.png[/img] Redrock Cove: Pretty great for seafood. Above average at everything else. Because one of the boss familiars here sells for a fair amount, it may be a better choice if you're after some treasure. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_meat.png[/img] Waterway: If you're looking for exactly average, you've found it. Meat is found slightly more than the other foods, mostly due to the bosses. I'd probably skip this venue if you're looking for heaps of food. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_meat.png[/img] Arena: Awful for plants and up and down in other areas. Turns out pretty average in the end. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_insect.png[/img] Volcanic Vents: Best place to find some insects. Fairly decent at everything else too. If you have some hard-core insectivores in your lair, spend some time at the vents. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_seafood.png[/img] Rainsong Jungle: The best place for seafood, and all-around pretty outstanding. The best place to grind for food by far and a pretty even variety to boot! [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_meat.png[/img] Boreal Wood: Best at meat and pretty great for bugs. This snowy forest has the one of the highest food points per hour, but that is made up of mostly meat and bugs. This venue ends up scoring pretty poorly for plants and seafood. Specializing in meat and insects, I am very thankful that this venue gives a bit of exp for the trouble. A good two-in-one leveling and food venue. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_insect.png[/img] Harpy's Roost: A fantastic option for insects. Scores pretty low in the plant department. Slightly above average, the exp is a nice boost. Not as good as Crystal Pools in my opinion. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_plant.png[/img] Ghostlight Ruins: Above average for plants, below average for every other food. This is a venue I'd skip unless you're here for the leveling. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_insect.png[/img] Mire: Another below average venue. Sadly, I would only recommend spending time here for the exp. Each food drops pretty evenly, with meat being the least and insects being the most. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_seafood.png[/img] Kelp Beds: Great for seafood, but scores terribly at everything else. I definitely would not recommend grinding here for food. [img]https://flightrising.com/images/layout/icon_seafood.png[/img] Golem Workshop: Great drops in theory, bad in practice. The workshop gives a lot of food points per battle, but battles go pretty slow. If you find a way to speed up the grind, it might be worth a look. If it's treasure you're looking for, there are quite a few pricey drops to be found. The exp is a nice boost soo. Because of the slow pace, it consistently places below average in all food points per hour categories. Meat comes closest to being average, but falls short.
