Requierement Setter only!
I will explain the tab in order in how the options/functions are used. The pictures are thumbnails, clicking on them will lead to the full sized version.
Yes there is a ton of text, but once you get the gist of it it's easy to handle.

Start Here section
Where you start obviously. To start off you need a scry image link of your dragon/goal of your project. A project refers to a breeding project or one you would gene up but don't have the base dragon yet. It does not refer to one you already have but just lacking some genes.
Image links always end with something like
&auth=b57d54f4edb0c4b497b7fdf20&dummyext=prev.png
The part between auth= and dummytext is randomized (and a bit shortened here to fit into the row).
A direct scry link like this one also works, but the preview image of your dragon generated will be a hatchling (most likely without eyes).
You can enter the ID of a your dragon (in case it exists) to have a link back to it in case you generate a BBCode later. An ID alone without the scry image link doesn't work as data-mining is against FR ToS. Therefore the ID is optional input.
The name is optional as well.
If you leave the ID and/or the name blank a fake Id/name will be generated so you can still differentiate between saved dragons. Like this you could also save the same project under different settings.

Settings Mode section - Default settings
The settings refer to what you search for your dragon/project in particular.
I will go through each setting one after another and how they affect your options.
Is this a project?
Affects the availability of following options.
No (Default) - The entered dragon searches for a mate. Only opposite gender will be searched for and Modern/Ancient restrictions apply. The options for Standard/Advanced/Detail are available for Genes/Breeds/Colors. Also to restrict the search to Generation 1 only or more. The default settings unlock all dropdowns on the right side.
Preferred Gens
If you search for Generation 1 dragons as a mate, Gen2+ or if it doesn't matter.

Breeds/Genes/Colors
The pictures below show examples on how the different settings affect your available options. The options are explained right below.

Standard - Standard - Standard

Advanced - Advanced - Detail
|
Standard
Unlock the Standard settings which are the dropdowns on the right side.
Standard utilizes your preferences and work with ranges rather than specifically picked genes/breeds. I personally use only this and very rarely Advanced.
The options are explained further down.
Detail
The Standard settings get disabled and the Advanced are unlocked. It doesn't work with ranges but only the selections you made there. This is useful when you have a very specific taste that can't fully be expressed through mere ranges and preference lists. It won't show the rarity group of each breed/gene so you best know them or have a list at hand if you care about that.
Advanced
Is a combination of Standard and Detail. You get to select from both. While setting the ranges in the Standard part you get to specifically select the breeds/genes/colors restricted through the Standard part. So instead of getting all to select from you get a selection.
Standard section
Is available by selecting Standard or Advanced in the settings mode for one or more of Breeds, Genes and/or Colors. Detail will disable portions of it.
I will try to go through all using the Breed column as example. The first choice mentioned will always be the default setting when you make a copy of the mastersheet.
- Preferred only? - Yes (default)/No
This simply sets if you want to use the preferences you set in the respective tab or not. For example if you dislike Fae and set this option to Yes then those would not show up in your later search.
- Same allowed?
This will decide whether the breed of your own dragon will be kept in the search pool or not.
- Yes (default)
It will keep the breed of your dragon to the search list for now. Following options may filter it out again depending on your choices.
- No
The mate of your dragon is not allowed to be of the same and will be deleted from the possibly pool. Following options can not add it back.
- Only same
Your Imperial dragon will only get results for other Imperial dragons. This one disables the following three options.
- Rarity group
What rarity group you want to start your range restrictions with. The following two options will narrow/widen it depending on your choices.
If you don't know what rarity group your dragon belongs to or what they even are look here or head over to the FAQ section.
- Same (default)
It will start with the rarity group of the dragon you selected. It saves you the hassle of looking up your dragons rarity group each time.
- All
You don't care about rarity groups so all is fine or you like to be surprised! :D
This can be useful if you don't mind using breed/gene scrolls if needed.
- Plentiful, Common, Uncommon, Limited, Rare
It will start with the rarity group you selected here. The order here is from lowest to highest. So Plentiful is the lowest and Rare the highest.
- & below?
Refers to the Rarity group option and narrows/widens the range pool regarding lower rarities than the one you selected.
Having Plentiful as base will not change anything as it is already the lowest.
- No (default)
You don't consider rarity groups lower than your selected dragons to always have the possibility to get your dragons breed/gene through breeding.
- Yes
You don't mind lower rarity groups although it means breeding could result in less probability to get the traits of your selected dragon.
- One below
You only consider going one step lower than your base rarity.
If your base rarity is Limited than it will now also consider Uncommen as well.
- & higher?
The opposite of as "& below?". This will widen/restrict the range going higher than your base. Rare is the highest, so changing any options with that as base will not change anything.
- One higher (default)
It will consider one rarity group higher than your base. For Limited it would be Rare.
- No
You don'T want to look for dragons with higher rarity groups regarding breeds/genes to get the most of both dragons as the mates could possibly not transfer its genetic traits to the hatchlings for percentage reasons.
- Yes
Your dragon is what matters. You consider all rarity groups higher than your own dragons with the risk of having longer breeding cooldowns and low probability for the mate's traits.
Example with a Bogsneak (rarity group Uncommon)
Your options were: Same group, One Below and All higher.
Your searching range therefore covers the groups Common, Uncommon, Limited, Rare for your possible mate.
- max color distance
Don't mistake this for a sort of rarity as well just because it says higher/up and lower/down. All colors have an equal chance to appear in the range of the parent' colors. Up and down are just a way to have a logical approach to the color wheel.
If you're not sure how colors work in FR head over to the FAQ section.
A color higher than Midnight is White for example. One further down is Purple.
Having a high or low range depends on what you prefer. Colors can't be set in the Preference tab as that would create an overhead of coding and is quite silly. You can't rule out a color in a range unless the range doesn't cover it to begin with.
- 0
It will only look for the color your dragon has. So if your primary color is Obsidian it will search for mates with Obsidian primary as well.
- any number but 0
So any number from 1 to 89. If you put in a higher number it will calculate with 89. If you're asking why 89 head over to the FAQ section. Generally spoken it would flip the range.
Advanced section
Is available by selecting Advanced or Detail in the settings mode for one or more of Breeds, Genes and/or Colors. Standard will disable portions of it.
The example show an example when Advanced is chosen for Breeds, Genes and Colors.
Advanced restrict the amount of choices you have here through the your settings in the Standard section.
Detail would show all released Breeds, Genes (considering Modern/Ancient) and Colors.
Checking the boxes to the right of the breed/gene/color will add only those to the search pool. All unchecked will be disregarded.
If you don't check any boxes it will consider all listed.
Only checking a few colors will not erase the possibility of getting those colors on a hatchling if those are between the parents colors.

Settings Mode - Project
Reminder project means a dragon that does not yet exist.
You want to either buy a dragon to gene up or breed it. The dragon you entered in the starting section is your goal.
Is this a project?
Yes - The entered dragon is the desired result for a breeding project. All genders will be considered and depending on further selected options Modern and Ancients alike. The available options depend on further settings. Project settings lock most of the dropdowns on the right side except color ranges.
Gene up yourself?
If you want to buy breed/gene scrolls for your project.
- No
You want to achieve your goal, get your dragon, without buying a single scroll. This means the dragons you search for need to be at least of the same or higher rarity groups. Lower ones can't and won't be considered.
- Yes
Rarity groups don't matter since you're willing to buy scrolls. You might have to go with this if for example you know that the color combo alone is rare enough.
- Partial
You are willing to buy scrolls but only to a certain extend. For example buying a breed change scroll is okay as long as the genes can be bred. A few more options are unlocked if this one is chosen.
Buy cheap genes?
Depending on your choice on the previous option this might not be available. It is only unlocked when No was chosen.
Genes usually cost a lot but those do not. They are distributed commonly enough (most through the Coliseum) that they can be used to raise the rarity group of a gene section at low cost so you can use even dragons with Basic genes.
The economy decides which genes are cheap but currently the following will be considered if you choose Yes.
So far all cheap genes belong to the Limited rarity group.
- Breed - None
- Primary Gene - Candycane (Banescale)
- Secondary Gene - Morph (Modern), Sugarplum (Banescale)
- Tertiary Gene - Smirch (Modern), Weathered (Gaoler)
Settings Mode - Project (buy partial genes)
Here you can set what exactly you consider buying.
The options are only available if it is a project and you set "Gene up yourself" to Partial.
- No
The minimum rarity groups to matches your goal dragon and and also considers all higher groups.
- Yes
All rarity groups are considered and therefore all breeds/genes of that part.

Generated Links and BBCode
You're done picking all options and are satisfied? Or just curious what results you might get?
Seeker Forum BBCode Gen(erator)
Generates a BBCode you can use for the forum just like the example on the left.
Seeker Join
This String is needed for the Search Data tab. When pastin it into the Search Data make sure to use Special Paste (CTRL+Shift+V) as you would otherwise copy the code and not the string of information.
AH Link Generator
Generates a link for the Auction house. The more complex your requirements are the unlikely it is to find dragons.
Search Link Generator
Generates a link for the Dragon Search function.
Be nice when asking for a dragon and respect their answer.

- - - The middle part explained - - -
Upper part
This part and the following show the dragon you entered and a possible mate. It sums up chances and gives you a score how much they match.
- Left side
Shows your dragon and its traits. The breed, the genes, their rarity groups and the colors. If you entered a direct scry link and not an image link the shown dragon will ba (probably eyeless) hatchling. The link leads to the scrying workshop with all the genes and colors set to that.
- Right Side
This side randomly generates a hatchling based on your settings. Like the random scry when you open the workshop but a bit more restricted. It will only show htachlings due to coding reasons. Whenever you change any option anywhere in the sheet the random dragon changes. The traits refer to the current random dragon. This dragon can also be eyeless.
- Middle
The rarity groups of the breeds and genes of both dragons plus how the chances are if bred.
- Color Range
How many additional colors are in the range starting of your dragons point.
If both dragons have the same colors the range will be 0.
- Score
A score based on how matchy your dragon and the randomly generated one are. The sum of 666 is a funny coincidence.
A maximum of 400 can be achieved if genes match each other. Matching means share the same rarity group. So 100% and 50% / 50% both reward 100 points. The score is base on the percentages looking from your dragons side. So if the gene of your dragon has a 90% chance of appearing it will yield 90 points und not the 10% of the ran generated.
If all genes and the breed achieve 400 points an extra point is given making the total 401.
Color ranges can yield a maximum of 264 points, 88 per prim/sec/tert, plus one extra point. The lower the range the more points gets added to the score.
- The checkbox below the score
Serve no other purpose than to generate a new random dragon. It is not bound to any coding.
Lower part
This part is right underneath the upper one and shows possible hatchlings based on your dragon and the randomly generated on the right. All of them have scrying workshop links of their own and can be shown eyeless as well. It also shows the colors included in the color range between the two.
