I've only actually played G&G like three times, so what I take from this is... after clicking the bottom right of each shadow cell, I should end up with the same set-up as the picture?

@cuelebre some people do get confused by this first step! I wanted to keep this guide brief since there are so many others, but here is some visual aid:
Look for Shadow cells, starting from the top left corner of the board:

After you've clicked the marked cell, the topmost leftmost cell is no longer Shadow.
Move right:

Then just continue row by row until you reach the bottom.
