Me too....meeee tooo.
I keep buying dragons because I see them and go "Oh that would would look nice if I did this!" and then I can never save up to actually do this. Sob.
I want to get a spiral breed change scroll, a pearlcatcher scroll, a seraph gene, and an iridescent gene....
And yet I just keep spending my cash.

@grandSolovey ;_; well i;ve been trying to get a spiral gene for two weeks now, even with the dom discount, i've been failing to get even close. maybe i'll just buy a BUNCH of dragons and rely on breeding to get me there.

Apparel... every other day I get the desire to dress up dragons, then I go and buy stuff, most of which I end up not using. I'm a compulsive hoarder too, so I often buy things just because they are cheap or available or whatever. Because one day I might need them, and then I will be glad I own them, right? Right. Well, it doesn't change the fact that my treasure hoard is frighteningly empty right now, and I really really want another clown gene for my spiral. I think I need a treasurer, who pops up every time I try to buy something, looking sternly at me, asking "Are you really sure you want to do this?"

I think it helps if you have a real solid item goal in mind while you're saving.
Like if you want to just save your treasure to a certain point there's really nothing standing in the way that you would be disappointed over not having enough to buy it
If you have an item goal in mind you can just say to yourself 'No I can't get that I'm only 40k away from getting that gene scroll'
Also don't look in the AH

For me, it's gotten to the point where I've given up saving in any coherent fashion and just gave myself free reign. You want that cheap gened hatchling on the AH? Fine, go for it. Want to enter fifty million raffles? That works, too. Reservations? Why not?
The good thing is, I'm learning over time what I actually want on here, so my recent impulse buys are things I'll use. c:
