There's no thread for the new UI update, so. How are we feeling about this? I can definitely notice the difference and so far, it feels much better. Especially on the forums. Don't get me wrong, I still miss the old UI, but this feels useable now, so I'm grateful for that at least. :)
Edit: Hey. I just noticed that when you mouse over your treasure, it tells you the exact number. Yay! :D

I'm so happy they've been not only listening to the feedback, but rapidly implementing fixes and changes. I know a lot of folks' (including me) kneejerk reaction was bristling at the changes and it does take some getting used to
Personally, I've "fixed" my biggest issue with the update by leaning towards user-made stylus skins that brings back a bit of the old FR look.
However! I'm very happy they brought back the darker red buttons and added a bit more saturation throughout the site, as well as adjusted forum fonts to make it a little less of an eyesore.
I can tell they're working hard and trying to get everything to work while still prioritizing accessibility for all and that's honestly all I can ask for. It's really appreciated.

I've noticed a number of improvements! Much more contrast in the buttons (Fiona, for one), and we can see the full balance of our vault goodies (TR/Gems).

There are still some choices that I find questionable, but it's definitely getting better. And the performance improvements are incredible! I actually thought that my old laptop was the issue, but everything loads instantly now and it's so comfy <3

Very happy to see a lot of the improvements, they genuinely makes it better to use the site.
The styling on the forums makes it easier to get an overview now and the improved contrast on not-available buttons are very nice!
I am still holding out hope for the K to go away from the treasure amount on the profile widget in the top right. At least they removed it for our vault :3

I can finally use the site again without getting a migraine, so that is nice. Before, I could not play for more than a few minutes before my head started to hurt. I came back yesterday to see if the changes helped, and they did.

To be fair the threads haven't been popping up too much as they were all directed to air their frustrations (and joys) to the stickied UI forum post!
I will be honest, I'm glad to see bit by bit the things I complained about slowly are getting updated and changed. Waking up today to finally see the 'dark red' cover of things being inactive made me smile. Oh and the morning I woke up to see lineart on the icons. That made me smile too.
With the visual updates bit by bit coming out, I am able to enjoy the responsiveness of the UI now!

But, uh, it totally will take me longer to adjust than I anticipated qvq I was kinda prepared it'll change, and I trust the process, and I believe in devs, I've lived through fair share of redesigns, so I don't know why I have such a hard time getting used to it now... But it's so unwelcoming, like, it's not my FR, if you know what I mean, yeah?

its getting a lot better!! theres def some improvements that could be done but theyre listening to feedback rather quickly which is nice. im really glad the usernames on the forums were unbolded because i just couldnt stand to look at them otherwise for some reason & really glad the inactive buttons are red again

Found in the Starwood Strand, this nocturnal beetle gets its vivid coloration from the plants it eats. (Special thanks to Serpenthyne!)
The improvements are helping! I still wanna see changes to Dark and Slate's colors, and ofc more pages added to the new layout instead of Experimental, but staff is addressing concerns quickly and the site feels more like itself again.
