whoof, don't know if anyone's posted this yet, but i can't tell the difference between the locked recipe and unlocked recipe in baldwin's with the charcoal theme. it's so low contrast that it's almost impossible to see unless i really strain my eyes, but that probably comes with forcing the theme on every page

agree with all player feedback regarding the updated player module, but the bestiary and achievements returning is very welcomed. the module changes have easily been my biggest complaint with the layout update--it's the first thing I look at when I log in and I don't really get why it needed to be changed at all to be honest.
I'd also like to suggest... can "x flight is dominating!" please return to the top banner? I loved having that information at a glance without having to click on Dominance in order to see it.

Hey there, I don't expect a hard answer necessarily but do we know how high on the priority list bringing the non-theme-related UI improvements to antiquated pages like Baldwin? I ask cause as far as I can tell it's one of the few areas left that doesn't have the little icons letting you know if an item is in your inventory/equipped.

I feel like the notification icon in the achievement page shouldn't be the same color as the button. It's really hard to see, I wouldn't have noticed that at all if I wasn't intentionally going in there for the CC achievements.

Something I noticed: Jigsaw and Tidal Trouble's ticket shadows are still the old UI color despite the rest of the game tickets at Fairgrounds being adjusted for Charcoal.
I concur with others about contrast issues with Charcoal. When I selected it, based on its name I assumed it would be dark but medium dark with less contrast than typical dark mode. Kind of disappointing that it is just as contrasted. Really wish there was a Sepia dark mode, that would go really well with existing graphics and site colors. Plus a warmer dark mode would be nice for those that check FR before bed like myself... less blue light = happy nappies. Also I appreciate the effort to clean up and modernize the look of FR but hoping the subtlties and complexities of FR are retained and not washed out by minimalism. So far that is not the case, just hoping it stays that way.

This is a great post about the situation, I'm impressed it was able to be put together so quickly. I'm glad that updates and responses are happening so quickly, I think it is helping a lot with the morale of everyone experiencing the updates. With my display set to Desktop, I'm personally finding it mostly pretty comfy beyond a few things I think will be updated because they were unintended, and will simply hope for some aesthetic changes to things like the user info widget in the future. Other than the notification display, nothing is totally game-breaking (for me). I feel like you guys are handling this one exceptionally well, thank you.
EDIT: I will say that I do agree that it has lost some charm overall, and I hope that maybe future themes will also have graphical changes that introduce some whimsy back in the UI. I'd frankly love to see stuff like lair tabs looking like bookmarks or parchment, stuff like that. Go full medieval times with the place. But in the meantime, losing the colorful buttons for messages/notifications/etc. really did suck a lot of pleasantness out of everything. Looking forward to seeing what can be done with themes in the future though!!

I second the "whimsy" complaints and also think that bookmark lair tabs would be super cute!
(So, so happy to have dark mode, though).

Wasn't it possible in the old UI that we could see items with highlighted importance for certain things like baldwin's bubbling brew when we transmuted items, or Sophie's splendid Stitches in spinning materials? We don't have that in the newer UI, and if it wasn't a thing like I believed it was, can it be added to the new UI?
I'd prefer not to transmute/spin materials that have possible importance, but I can't see which ones do or not anymore unless I go into my actual inventory and look, which is rather annoying, so i've mostly been getting rid of my excess cheap familiars.

Forever shall darkness plagues one heart and keep them forever alone as long as they breath such gloom air.
People constantly gets me confused with Darknesss (with 3 S's)
While I'm still getting used to the new UI, it's not too bad overall! I only have two things that I can't adapt to currently:
1: The Which Waystone no longer sticking to the bottom of the screen, and instead staying in the left sidebar is a large disruption to the way I usually play. Since it's implementation, the Which Waystone has become a large part of the way I navigate the site, and having it suddenly disappear from the place it was before isn't ideal.
The current placement doesn't make much sense to me, since it's essentially right next to the permanent link underneath the Library tab, only separated by whichever ad appears, which takes away from the convenience of it. If it's only a matter of a few inches or so on desktop to the permanent link, the only advantage to clicking the stone instead of the link is simply that the image is larger/less precise.
I'd like either for the Waystone to return to sticking to the bottom of the screen permanently, or for an options menu where having it in its previous location is included.
2: The font is different, and is messing with me quite a bit. Specifically, I'm having a massive amount of trouble distinguishing between lowercase A's and lowercase O's.
Right now, I read "Drogon Loir", "Gother Items", "Clon Profile", "Hoord", "Bestiory", and "Messoges" on the Clan tab instead of the intended words. The letters also tend to blend together more often than not, which is giving me a bit of a headache at times.
An option to change the font in the settings would be greatly appreciated!

Treasure and gem counts will no longer be abbreviated.
The module will once again display your current familiar count and achievement points.
Messages, Friend Requests, and Alerts will have restored counters.
To handle larger numbers, these counts will display “+” when more than 999 notifications are counted.
The Well Fed Meter has been redesigned. It will also use the blue color scheme from the old Player Module design.
Improved support for keyboard navigation and screen reader software
Updated the Clan Energy tooltip so it no longer lists an inaccurate "+15% Battle Experience" bonus.
The Player Module may look broken if you are using 3rd party browser plugins that alter how Flight Rising is displayed. It may be necessary to temporarily disable these until they are updated to work with our revised code.
