Interesting, after the blue menu bars in Slate and Dark I felt Charcoal to be warm-toned with the return of darkened Flight Rising theme colors, (reddish menu bars and yellowish Headings) what else are you after?

I really wish you'd lighten up on the stark black on the charcoal theme, which is still making the theme look super contrasty in places, but it's progress!
(Basically, I wish it was more like the slate theme. That one feels pretty good to me in its current state, I just long for something a little less, well, blue)

Really love the charcoal theme now! My only nitpick is that the darkest backgrounds are a bit too close to black (tbf, this is most evident on pages with it experimentally forced, like the dragon lair screen). Awesome work with the themes and I look forward to seeing what other ones will be produced (although I think charcoal will be my keeper).

Oh, the sidebar especially is MUCH improved. I’ve been using Charcoal at night since it launched, and gotta say it’s been surprisingly nice! Even the value contrast isn’t so jarring to me anymore; now it’s even better.
White avatar backgrounds and the neon bright energy bar are the only glaring patches to me now. Both are theme agnostic, granted, just more noticeable when everything else is muted. But overall, A+ update, really happy with it!

It's looking better! I agree with others that the contrast is still too high in the darkest areas, but I think it's moving in the right direction. I love that I can tell the difference between old and new notifs now!
I'm still putting my biggest vote toward toning/sizing the energy bar WAY down in the final versions of themes geared toward visually-sensitive people, as that's still my biggest pain point. But otherwise, Charcoal is getting close to a theme that I can actually use and that is very exciting!
