I LOVE the new Charcoal Theme! <3 As someone with highly sensitive eyes ( I gotta get my glasses made with filters to help) this is an amazing update!
I'm finding that the themes are only applied to one or two pages, even after a hard refresh of the page. Is that intended behaviour?
The new themes aren't site-wide by default, yet- you'll need to tick the 'experimental' box below the theme/layout list, which will then force them onto most pages~

Hello everyone! The engineers just pushed an update to the Charcoal Theme!

The following colors in the Charcoal Theme have been changed:
 • Main body text
 • Secondary “subtle” body text
 • Icon borders in the Player Module at the top right of the screen
 • Sidebar navigation links

Hm. After the update, my name looks REAL bright in Charcoal (the username in the Player Model looks pretty close to pure white).

I like being pinged, if you have a response to what I said!
I often process thoughts by writing... Trying to TL;DR more.

Charcoal is great! My only complaint now is that we don't have a warm-toned dark mode.

The fixes to the text look much better! I do think going all the way #000000 black for the background in many places is a bit much still. I suppose this is dating myself but it looks very.... 2001 website/forum. More importantly aside from the pure aesthetic of it, it's gonna be hard for that to not be incredibly high-contrast with your average site asset (dragon, item, news post image etc).

I have been using charcoal for some time by now, and it feels less intense than the other colors but the darker areas may be a bit too close to black. Default text color, particularly after the update, is pretty nice and not too white. The charcoal theme is close to what I can call a dark theme (the current existing dark theme is too purple), and it suggests a more gray theme could be added in the future. However, on Auction House pages, the bolded text for which category section that is opened (e.g. Food, Materials, Dragons) might be hard to distinguish from the non-bolded text.

Hi, I just wanted to say as a person with light sensitivity due to autism and visual snow syndrome, I'm very happy with the UI update and looking forward to it being adopted by the entire site! I think as far as accessibility goes this is one of the most important improvements FR could make. Thank you guys for all your hard work!

I still feel like the yellow highlight colour for linked text is far too high in saturation for me. I would love it we could have a low saturation version of the text at least as it seems like every single theme comes with highlighted text that's very saturated in colour.

(Edit: But I have to say thank you so much for responding to user feedback on the themes!)
