Currently, Swipp's Swap Stand updates at the start of every even hour (2:00, 4:00, 6:00…).
This can cause unpredictable issues during the start and end of Daylight Saving Time (DST), since the clock shifts at the same moment that Swipp restocks.
To more reliably support the time change, we plan to update Swipp's Swap Stand to restock one minute after the hour rolls over. Offers will still be valid for two full hours, but those offers will start and end one minute later (2:01, 4:01, 6:01…) than they have in the past.
When will this change happen?
This change has not yet gone into effect yet, but we expect it to go live as soon as today. We will post an update under Site Status once the change has been made.
Will this break Swipp's Swap Stand?
We expect this update to cause a one minute outage for Swipp's Swap Stand when it transitions from the old restock time to the new restock time. During this outage you will be able to trade with Sinclair, but the rest of the Swipp family will be on break. The page itself will continue to function, although it may look a little strange without any active offers.
Daylight Saving Time Ends (Fall 2025)
Daylight Saving Time will end at 2:00 server time on Sunday, the 2nd of November. At this time, we will fall back one hour to 1:00 server time. This means that Swipp will not restock and players will have an additional hour to swap the current trades. The countdown timer should properly reflect this.
Daylight Saving Time Starts (Spring 2026)
Daylight Saving Time will begin again at 2:00 server time on Sunday, the 8th of March. At this time, we will jump forward one hour to 3:00 server time. Swipp will restock, but these trades will only be available for one hour until the usual restock time of 4:01.
