Flight Rising Discussion

Hello everyone. Today's account security update doesn't have to do with changes on the Flight Rising website, but about a security breach on another pet site.

Today, Neopets announced that they'd suffered a data breach and customer data—including login details such as passwords—were stolen.

We are bringing this to your attention on the Flight Rising website as we know it's not uncommon for players to have similar login details across virtual pet sites. If you have a Neopets account and a Flight Rising account and they share a password, you need to change both. Your Neopets password should be unique to Neopets and your Flight Rising password should be unique to Flight Rising.


We understand that in 2022 keeping track of passwords for every account can be annoying, daunting, and overwhelming. We have information in this stickied thread on how you can make password management easier without compromising account security. Thank you for understanding!

Update for Thursday, January 19, 2023:

We are seeing increased attempts to log into players' accounts using username and password combinations. At this time, we do not have reason to believe Flight Rising's userdata has been compromised. We believe these credential stuffing attacks are using information gained from third-party data breaches.

Please take the time to ensure that your Flight Rising password is unique to your Flight Rising account and is not reused for any other site, especially pet sites and game sites. If you use a password manager and the company suffered a data breach, make sure you've updated your passwords, including your Flight Rising password. Do not share your password with anyone, not even Flight Rising Support. Flight Rising Support will never ask for or need your password.
